Job Requirements:        

Education:

 Secondary education and experience in social work, social science, psychology college degree strongly preferred. Structural engineering background can also be an asset.

Experience and technical competencies:

 Previous experience in humanitarian action and project management.

 Previous experience in HR management.

 Experience in working in partnership/collaboration with other services providers.

 Knowledge and previous experience working with persons with disabilities, facilitating sessions and group activities with population affected by the Syrian crises.

 Skills on Training of Trainers delivery, excellent communication skills.

 Knowledge on the right of persons with disabilities is an asset.

 Advocacy skills.

 Strong organizational skills.

 Good communication skills.

 Previous experience with the organization, other international or local organizations.

 Ability and willingness to maintain regular presence at project sites and to travel in NES.

Languages:

 Fluent Arabic and English reading, writing and speaking.

We offer

We will offer the successful applicant a six months’ contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance.

and be willing and able to work in Raqqa City, with frequent travels in Raqqa Governorate.

Job Description:

  1. Project management in collaboration with the Technical officer Livelihood:

 Support the organization of the activities providing and updating clear work plan for each of the Inclusive Livelihood Worker.

 Ensure the logistics, finance and HR procedures are in place for the implementation of activities.

 Communicate regularly with consortium members on beneficiaries’ referral for case management: assure the passage of information and provide regular feedback to the partners on the organization activities.

 Complete monitoring field visits to partners’ working areas and to other inclusion activities and discuss weekly with PM to ensure the monitoring at field level.

 Produce (or contribute to) internal reporting with NES hub (weekly, monthly, and/or upon request from PM).

 Externally representation of the organization.

  1. Capacity building and technical support of the inclusion team, the organization team and other partners:

 Develop, in collaboration with Technical Coordinators and Technical Advisors, awareness sessions and trainings on different inclusion topics.

 Identify capacity building needs within the organization teams and partners.

 Propose and implement capacity building plans (objectives, results, topics, resources).

 Support the Inclusive Livelihood Team in the case management (assessment, tools and environment adaptation, personalized support, referrals).

  1. Provide technical support, knowledge and recommendations to partners to ensure inclusion is operating within programs:

 Support consortium partners through on the job-training with field staff to ensure the removal of barriers for inclusive livelihoods.

 Identify areas of need for further training and report on these to the PM.

 Support in any technical trainings given if needed/requested.

 Support correct identification of persons with disabilities in registration process of the organization and partners.

 Work with the consortium members to help identify needs and gaps within their assessments, programming and identification stages and report on these to the PM.

  1. Creation of networks and capacity building of persons with disabilities:

 Support the Inclusion Team in the logistic organization and facilitation of sessions on advocacy action plan, identification of barriers and how to generate realistic mitigation strategies.

 Support the Inclusion Team to ensure the quality of self-help group session implementation (action plans, tools, follow up etc.).

  1. Monitoring and evaluation:

 Monitoring of referrals either between the organization Departments or between other NGOs and Consortium members.

 Liaise with MEAL team in filling any relevant monitoring and evaluation tools when applicable and constantly share feedback and/or complaints received from the field with the PM.

 Ensure regular collection of data on lessons learned and sharing with PM.

 Accurately inform the PM of developments in the field so that accurate weekly planning and monthly planning can be developed.

  1. Security:

 Report any incident or act that causes any harm to beneficiary or to others.

 Ensure that the team members know and follow the security procedures, in collaboration with the Field coordinator.

 Inform the PM and Field Coordinator of any security issues faced on the field by the team and keep a clear report on incidents and location of incidents.

 Follow developments and changes in security status in the field so Project Manager can make informed decisions.

  1. Support other inclusion activities when needed:  Collaborate with the other organization department to implement inclusion mainstreaming within the organization programs. Note that this job description must remain flexible, to respond to additional tasks or changes as identified by the line manager.
