About you

To be successful in this role you must have:

Education and experience:

– Bachelor degree in Audit, finance or other relevant subject area.

Professional Competencies Required:

– Minimum 2 year experience working in audit/compliance related function (finances, logistics, HR).

– Previous experience in training/capacity building

– Fluent level of English and Arabic required

Personal Competencies Required:

– Experience in the NGO/humanitarian sector would be an asset

– Knowledge of institutional donors would be an asset.

– Kurdish is a strong asset

– Actively coordinate with all internal departments

We offer

The organization will offer the successful applicant a 3 months’ contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance.

And be willing and able to work in Amuda with frequent travels in North East of Syria.

Salary and conditions will be according to salary grid. Minimum 1261 USD/month + (allowances).

Job Description:

 Provide oversight across all office functions (support services and programs) to ensure compliance with internal the Organization policies and procedures, local laws and donor regulations

 Support in the investigation of allegations of suspected fraud and misconduct and provide evidence based reports

 Evaluate the adequacy of internal controls, policies and procedures and provide recommendations for improvements

 Contribute to preparation for audits and follow-up support on the timely implementation of audit findings and action plans

 Monitor compliance in the implementation of policies, procedures, guidelines and best practices through regular spot-checks, reviews and field visits

 Provide regular support to review partner documentation; provide feedback on issues of non-compliance, best practices and lessons learned

 Instill a strong culture of compliance by providing on-going training, capacity building and advice to staff and partners as needed

 Support records management and archiving processes to assist with the proper filing of documentation

 Other tasks as assigned by your line manager
