Job Description:
- Organize the daily work of the Procurement Unit by prioritizing the activities and set up objectives for each procurement staff.
- Provide technical support to the Procurement Unit in order to meet program requirements as per deadline and in accordance with MRFS/Donors policies and procedures.
- Provide advice and support to the program team for any matter related to procurement (raising PR, information regarding specification, sample analysis, procurement strategy etc…)
- Manage complex procurements (Blanket Purchase Agreement)
- Provide a weekly report to the Logistics Manager about the work progress and faced challenges in order to update the requester accordingly.
- Ensure that all procurements are tracked and recorded into the system by the Procurement Unit.
- Responsible for local medical commodities procurement from pre-qualified vendors and participate in the pre-qualification visit of potential new vendors.
- Ensure that local market surveys is regularly carried out, to ensure a full knowledge of the availability and price of local items.
- Supervise the Procurement Unit with integrity and foresight, and in accordance with HR procedures and policies to ensure that they maintain the highest standards of accountability and professionalism
- Work in close collaboration with the Country Logistics Manager in order to seek advice, support or to deliver specific training for the Procurement Unit
