  • Bachelor degree in economic, finance, market-based studies or equivalent.
  • At least two years of relevant working experience (management, economics, etc.),
  • Experience in report writing
  • High communication skills
  • Good relationship with the local business owners and relevant authorities
  • Familiar with training methods and skills
  • Have good experience in preparing training curriculum
  • Proactive and able to cope with a challenging and constantly-evolving humanitarian work environment, often under pressure
  • Excellent organization and coordination skills with capacity to prioritize, communicate effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Experience in working for international or local non-governmental organizations (essential)
  • Fluency in English and Arabic – both written and verbal (desired)
  • Microsoft skills – Word and Excel (intermediate)

Job Description:

This position is for a business coaching Assistant to work full-time in the CVT office in Manbij/ Raqqa. The role will involve providing advices, assistance and guidelines to the grant recipients, he/ she will be responsible for supporting them in developing business plans, determining business needs, identifying business strengths and weaknesses, finding solutions to various business issues, making recommendations, and answering to their inquiries. This position will be under the direct supervision of the Grants Officer.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide technical advice and capacity development to the grant recipients to plan and implement their business
  • help Grant recipients in problem-solving, goal setting and achievement, increasing self-esteem and confidence
  • Provide individual and group coaching sessions to train others how to achieve desired goals.
  • Keeping grants recipients accountable and motivated
  • Assisting grants recipients with their business growth, goals and plan development
  • Monitoring business growth and establish methods for improvement
  • Developing business, marketing, and financial plans
  • Providing resources and information on how to start or grow businesses, how to access procurement opportunities and getting registration from relevant authorities where relevant
  • Support the grants team in all side of the project implementation (registration, evaluation, interviews, field visits …. etc.)
  • Fill out all the BNFs related docs (attendance sheets, payment sheets, POAs) and sign them
  • Conducts regular project monitoring to ensure quality of activities & identify any challenges or delays.
  • Daily visits to the grant recipients
  • Make sure that the activities are going according to the plan with regard to timing and budget following CVT rules and policies
  • Inform the Grants Officer of any opportunities, challenges or changes to the programming environment in the field.
  • Assist in collecting and reporting any new security information, incident or any change of the context to the line manager.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by CVT Livelihood Team
