Job Requirements:

  • High School or Diploma in community development or medical institute, business administration, social work and social administration or related field
  • One year Proven work experience as a facilitator
  • Good communication, listening and social skills
  • skills in group learning techniques, as well as skills in problem solving, conflict resolution, team building, planning and organizing
  • Knowledge of working with NGOS
  • Professional experience in GBV prevention and response programs in emergency
  • Thorough understanding of best practices in GBV response and GBV primary prevention and risk reduction
  • Clear understanding of gender, human rights, and issues surrounding violence against girls.
  • Strong ability to organize work, meet deadlines, prioritize work under pressure
  • Moderate English Language, , Arabic and Kurdish(written and spoken)
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Compliance & Ethics:
  • Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance and ethics throughout Medical relief for Syria
  • As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of Medical relief for Syria and donor compliance and ethics standards and adheres to those standards.
  • Conducts work with the highest level of integrity. Communicates these values to staff and to partners and requires them to adhere to these values
  • Fulfill any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Respect the code of conduct and policies of the MRFS and the standards of the GBV team
  • Adhere and uphold the MRFS principle and policies (integrity, accountability and service) at the respective areas of work
  • Consistently and proactively monitor the safety and security of the team, promptly reporting concerns or incidents to MRFS management
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop MRFS programs

Job Description:

  • Identify, select and modify workshop resources to meet the needs of clients with varying backgrounds, learning styles and special needs
  • Observe and evaluate clients’ performance, behavior, social development
  • Provide a positive environment in which women and girls are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process
  • Meet workshop and program performance goals
  • Conduct orientation/intake sessions to acquire new participants
  • Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as meeting deadlines, honoring schedules
  • Instruct clients individually and in groups, using various adult learning methods such as lectures, discussions and group activities
  • Prepare materials and training rooms for workshop activities
  • Conduct basic case management if necessary.
  • Conduct structured awareness raising activities at the women centers.
  • Participate in establishing the women’s committees coaching and mentoring sessions
  • Participate in listen in sessions with women and girls in the WGSS
