Job Requirements:

  • ESSENTAL: Nursing Diploma
  • ESSENTIAL: at least 2 years experience working as a Nurse or in a related jobs.
  • Desirable: previous work experience with an INGO
  • Essential – Arabic and English. Other languages (Turkish/Russian, etc) are added advantage.

Job Description:

Plan, organize, and evaluate the activities concerning nursing and the team associated, according to the organization’s values, policies, and protocols and universal health standards, in order to warrant the quality and continuity of the healthcare and the development of the plan of action.

  • Ensuring high quality nursing care, departmental functioning and continuity of patients care in accordance with the organization’s standards and protocols.
  • Know and respect the universal precautions to be taken when providing care.
  • Implement all hygiene, infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols and procedures.
  • Ensure that all staff under his/her supervision adhere to the barrier measures for Covid-19.
  • Supervise the management of the dispensary and medical equipment (weekly orders, storage conditions, inventories, etc.) and ensuring the rational use of this.
  • Organising and coordinating the activities of his/her team (roster, annual leave, absences, etc.).
  • Regularly evaluate the knowledge, quality of work and performance of the nurses under his/her supervision in order to identify the needs for further training.
  • Develop a continuing education programme to strengthen the capacity of his/her nursing team.
  • Ensure that all patient information is correctly and legibly recorded in the consultation register/file.
  • Define the objectives of nursing care and develop guidelines to achieve these objectives.
  • Ensuring that the interests and autonomy of all patients are respected.
  • Ensuring confidentiality and respect for professional ethics in the care of all patients.
  • Analyse the environment, security, and context before allocating the outreach team to mobile clinic and/or home based care activities.
  • Delegate some of the tasks or responsibilities if necessary to ensure that all daily and weekly activities are completed on time.
  • Ensure proper daily and/or weekly collection of medical data. Analyzing and correcting, if necessary, all statistics in order to allow the encoding of reliable figures in the database.
  • Actively participate in medical meetings and ensure that your team’s observations, challenges, remarks and concerns are addressed in the meeting.
