Job Title: Medical Activity Manager

Job Requirements:
Essential Medical Doctor diploma.
Desirable specialization or training in tropical medicine or public health.
– Essential minimum 2years experience as a medical doctor in medical activities related jobs.
– Desirable working experience with NGO’s in developing countries. Desirable: Experience in tropical medicine, or post-registration experience in Public Health , obstetrics and gynae, paediatrics, A&E, infectious diseases, HIV/AIDS/STDs, TB, general practice, general medicine or minor surgery.
Arabic an asset, Essential English language
Cultural sensitivity, patience and persistence in developing improvements.
Training in the infectious diseases/tropical medicine
Experience working COVID preferred
Coaching, management and supervision experience.
Able to work independently but in direct/open cooperation with colleagues in a multi-cultural team.
Good Communication skills
Job Description:
This position will be responsible for the NCD clinic and malnutrition programs in a medical clinic as well as COVID-19 hospital support. There is a plan to have a national staff MAM for Raqqa, which will require mentoring, and coaching from International Staff MAM once hired. All the associated processes as outlined in the generic accountabilities are responsibilities, where a proactive and independent working style is expected.
- Follow-up and assist with implementation of NCD registration and program improvements
- Work on switching the diabetic type 2 patients from insulin to oral antidiabetic drugs
- Along with medical responsible
- implement the simplification model of care for the patients with NCDs
- Implementation of organization protocols with regards to NCD and malnutrition programs.
- Participate in consultation in OPD, with a focus on capacity building and empowering the MDs, while monitoring quality of care.
- Training for MDs and Nursing staff on COVID management in COVID-19 Hospital
- Ensuring organization COVID-19 protocols implemented and working with nurse responsible to improve quality of care for COVID patients
- A continuous focus on quality of care, to assess quality levels and have a proactive approach in improving general and medical quality of care.
- A focus on training of the staff MDs and nurses in collaboration with the nurse responsible.
- Participate in analysing gathered weekly/monthly data
- Participation in writing the monthly medical report.
- Conducting and initiating morbidity and mortality review meetings and writing medical incident reports when indicated.
- Liaise with medical responsible and project responsible on identification of health needs and barriers to access and support the planning of activities to meet these needs and mitigate barriers.
- Respectful and professional boundaries must be ensured at all times when working within this context.
- Security recognition and understanding is important, as you will work in a high security context where the environment around you can change quickly.
- Be willing to adapt the mandatory dress code: Headscarf and long (wide, mid-thigh shirt with long sleeves) for female staff.
- Flexible to adapt work responsibilities and role to changes in context and medical priorities.
- Ability to recognize changes in medical needs and flag to medical responsible
- Participate in regular medical team meetings
