Job Requirements:
Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation
- Integrity and professionalism
- High school degree
Job Description:
Protect organization’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- In the event that no INGO personnel are present, to ensure that the Camp/office and compound remain secure against theft or damage and that persons who are not authorized do not enter the compound and /or remove any items.
- Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances.
- Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
- Apprehend criminals and evict violators.
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
- Report in detail any suspicious incidents
- Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter, Inspect lights, locks, doors, windows.
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates to ensure unauthorized personnel are not permitted to enter INGO building or compounds.
- Perform first aid or CPR.
- Inspect any vehicles parked in compound, only authorized vehicles are parked in and near INGO facility.
- Review shift book with previous shift
- Control access by visitors
o Ask for name, organization, and purpose of visit.
o Check identification.
o Verify appointment.
o Clear/do not clear visitor.
o Inspect handbags.
o Register information in Visitors Logbook.
o Escort visitor to Reception
- Monitor CCTV and physical check on Safety & Security Equipment’s
- Any other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably requested by the immediate supervisor.
