Suitable candidates for this position should possess:

  • Bachelor degree
  • At least two years of relevant working experience (administration, education, economics, etc.),
  • Ability to use Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Fluent written and spoken Arabic. English knowledge will be considered as an advantag
  • Experience in working for international or local non-governmental organizations (desired)
  • Excellent organization and coordination skills with capacity to prioritize, communicate effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Proactive and able to cope with a challenging and constantly-evolving humanitarian work environment, often under pressure
  • Ability to establish and manage effective working relationships with colleagues, managers and external partners

Job Description:

  • In cooperation with CVT Livelihood Team representatives, supervise the everyday operation of the Livelihood Centre in Derik
  • Make sure that the activities are going according to the plan with regard to timing and budget following CVT rules and policies
  • Conduct weekly project monitoring to ensure quality of activities & identify any challenges or delays. Ensure CVT complaints response mechanism (CFRM) is briefed and accessible to all TVET students
  • Ensure proper filing and archiving of project documents both hard copy and soft copy
  • Inform Livelihood PO of any opportunities, challenges or changes to the programming environment in the field.
  • Assist in collecting and reporting any new security information, incident or any change of the context to the line manager.
  • In cooperation with CVT Livelihood Team, supervise and organize the work of TVET centre support staff (guards, cleaners),
  • Monitor the TVET centre consumables (cleaning products, refreshment, fuel, etc.) and report on the needs to CVT Livelihood Team,
  • Ensure the uninterrupted operation of the generator,
  • Cooperate closely with TVET Trainers and provide the necessary support for the uninterrupted running of the Livelihood lessons,
  • In cooperation with VET trainers, monitor and keep the stock overview of all training materials, and report on the needs for restocking to CVT Livelihood team,
  • Monitor and ensure that all TVET centre equipment functioning without faults and inform CVT Livelihood Team immediately if such faults occur,
  • Collect and review project documentation, including curriculum and work plans, from TVET trainers, provide necessary support when needed,
  • Ensure attendance sheets of CVT support staff, trainers and trainees are filled in on a weekly basis,
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by CVT Livelihood Team.
