Job Requirements:
Education and experience:
– University Degree in relevant field.
Professional Competencies Required:
– English and Arabic fluency in both writing and speaking is compulsory.
– Experience in a technical health, medicine, rehabilitation and Psychological field translation.
– Experience translation.
– Computer skills (Word, Excel, Power point).
– Very good communication and active listening skills.
Personal Competencies Required:
– Computer literate, proficiency in use of Excel, word and Outlook.
– Technical background.
We offer
The organization will offer the successful applicant until 31st Dec-20 contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance.
And be willing and able to work in Amuda with frequent travels in North East of Syria.
Salary and conditions will be according to salary grid. Minimum 791 USD/month + (allowances).
About the job
Under the management of the Health Project Officer, the Translator will provide translation services to Hassakeh health department. According to the position, the Translator must keep all the data confidential, and share it only with the designated persons. Should the employee not comply with these rules, he/she will be charged for serious professional misconduct.

Line manager: Health project manager
Line manager+1: Field Coordinator HSK
Technical link: Prosthetic and orthotic Technical Advisor, PSS Technical Advisor, and Rehabilitation Technical Advisor
Reporting to: Health project officer
Supervision: N / A
Job Description:
1.TRANSLATION OF DOCUMENTS
Written translation of official documents related to health department from Arabic into English and vice versa
2.TRANSLATING THE TRAININGS:
Verbal translation and interpretation from Arabic into English and vice versa during health activities; between staff and beneficiaries or during the trainings and meetings.
3.TRANSLATING THE EXTERNAL MEETINGS
Support the Organization’s employees in the translation and interpretation during external meetings with local authorities, local organization and local partners.
Support the Organization’s employees in the translation and interpretation during field visits.
4.REPORTING
Provide any additional support upon request of Line Manager;
