Education and experience:
A college certificate in a related field:
Social sciences, statistics, education, etc.
Professional Competencies Required:
Good knowledge in emergency and development contexts in terms of implementing monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning activities at field level.
Demonstrated experience in terms of implementing monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) activities at field level with an INGO.
Good knowledge of MS Office Suite and PDF suites.
Strong analytical knowledge, attention to detail, good communication skills.
Working knowledge of a data collection software, of Excel, of MS office (word/PPT) is mandatory
Knowledge on inclusion of persons with disability, protection, gender aspects is highly desirable
Ability to work as a team member, ability to travel, understanding of humanitarian principles in everyday work.
Knowledge on gender aspects is a plus
Ability to work as a team member
Proficient knowledge of Arabic, Good knowledge of English is mandatory.
We offer
The organization will offer the successful applicant a 3 months’ contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance.
Desirable starting date is beginning of Apr 2020.
And be willing and able to work in Amuda with frequent travels in North East of Syria.
Salary and conditions will be according to salary grid. Minimum 989 USD/month + (allowances).
Job Description:
Coordinating the Project/Program tasks with respect to monitoring and evaluation activities, including the participating in the preparation of project M&E plans.
Support inputs, process, outputs and outcomes monitoring activities at field level.
Ensuring that M&E data is reliable, appropriate, to the Organization management and all concerned departments and other stakeholders.
Collect observations, best practices and identify improvement areas at the field level.
Gather and support analysis of lessons learnt from field monitoring visits.
Maintain Project/program-based monitoring logs on best practices and improvement areas.
Assist MEAL team and project managers in designing baseline, mid-term and final evaluation using a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods.
Support needs assessments/baseline/end-line and/or other surveys in data collection, analysis and reporting.
Assist project team and partners to plan, review, reflect and learn from ongoing implementation.
Support to identify the issues at the grass root level received through feedback mechanism of the Organization and coordinate the response with the stakeholders, as assigned.
Complete additional assignments related to job functions requested and acknowledged by MEAL Coordinator/Manager and Organization management.
Note that this job description must remain flexible, to respond to additional tasks or changes as identified by the line manager.
