Job Requirements:

Essential:

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance Accounting/ Management or related subject
  • 1-2 years’ work experience in finance in the similar role preferably in NGO/ INGO.
  • Previous experience of working with Finance & Grants department in an INGO is preferable.
  • Ability to use MS office application, specially MS Excel on day to day basis is essential requirement of the role
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the clients of finance department (staff, suppliers, incentive worker) on issues related to payment, claims, advances etc.
  • Language skills both in speaking and writing Kurdish and Arabic; Ability to read, write and communicate in English is a plus.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience of working with Finance & Grants department in an INGO is preferable.

Job Description:

  • To prepare and delivering salary payments to national staff and volunteers
  • To act as a custodian for petty cash and cash book of the office, record transactions and provide monthly reports along with petty cash replenishment requests.
  • To ensure cashbooks are maintained on a daily basis and recorded in the offline spreadsheets
  • To assist in weekly reconciliations of cash (and bank if needed)
  • To ensure that each transaction data is accurate and supporting documents related to procurement are complete and filed properly.
  • To maintain and archive financial records both in hard and soft
  • To ensure physical security of cash and financial records.
  • To assist in delivery of trainings to staff on financial policies, procedures and processes
  • To support the programme staff with cash flow forecasting and the management of petty cash.
  • To liaise with the Finance Officer for the timely processing of international payments to suppliers.
  • To verify partner expenditure reports and provide support to sector managers regarding partner’s liquidation reports as and when required.
  • To support finance in checking and reviewing fresh food voucher and cash vouchers.
  • To provide support in facilitating internal and external audit
  • To assist finance Officer in preparation of budgets and financial reports
  • To assist finance Officer in presentations of budgets Vs actuals analysis
  • Any other task assigned by line manager
