REQUIREMENTS

Education & experience

  • At least 2 years of experience working in the Child Protection sector.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in the Child Protection Case Management services.
  • At least 1-year experience delivering training sessions related to Protection aspects.
  • Any other experience related to relevant fields as Education, Social Work, or similar.
  • Previous experience working with local partners.
  • Solid knowledge of the social and cultural context of Raqqah.
  • Sound experience in Child Protection and Case Management Core Concepts.

Skills

  • Proven communication and behavioral skills to work directly with affected communities, including children.
  • Experience of prioritizing work, working under pressure and matching deadlines.
  • Solid Team working and management skills.
  • Proactive attitude.
  • Excellent oral and written English, Arabic and/or Kurmanji.
  • Computer literacy skills are an asset.

           

Job Description:

Technical support

  • Contribute to tailoring and adapting to local context the design of training and workshops on CP issues, under the supervision of the CP Specialist.
  • Under the supervision of the CP Specialist, assist with the organization and implementation of assessments on the needs of targeted populations including surveys, focus group discussions (FGDs) and key informant interviews (KIIs), including support with designing tools and identifying the appropriate methodology.
  • Contribute to and update the service mapping and administer service mapping surveys to service providers.
  • Support the implementation of Child Friendly Space (CFS) and CP Case Management services.
  • Ensure the referral to multisector services and the access to case management services relevant to Protection, CP, GBV, Health and MHPSS sectors.

Capacity Building and staff mentoring

  • Provide trainings to implementing partner’s staff on Protection/CP core concepts. After receiving ToT from the CP Specialist, facilitate trainings and workshops on CP issues.
  • Support field staff with information dissemination, awareness raising and campaigning, identifying challenges and opportunities.
  • Provide guidance related to CP awareness raising and Protection Mainstreaming to the partner.
  • Provide support and mentoring to field staff on referrals according to inter-agency referral standards and report challenges and opportunities.
  • Work closely with caseworkers and with the facilitators of the CFS and ensure that staff implement and respect internal SOPs and CP international standards.
  • Support the implementing partner with effective case management online data collection through tools such as CPIMS and information sharing.
  • Ensure that all partner staff adhere to the organization’s Code of Conduct and are trained on PSEA and Child Safeguarding policies and adhere to them.

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Conduct monitoring exercises in community centers and report to CP specialist.
  • Identify challenges and opportunities as regards FCRM, provide guidance to local partner staff on implementation and report to CP Specialist.
  • Monitoring the level of Protection mainstreaming in the service provision.
  • Compile reports with preliminary CP considerations and analysis.

Coordination

  • Maintain close coordination with Project Management, CP specialist, and technical teams.
  • Liaise and coordinate with the local implementing partner in order to conduct regular monitoring, and ensure the correct and timely implementation of project activities.
  • Liaise with local actors and authorities when needed for conducting assessments, FGDs, Key Informants Interviews, community mapping and events.
  • Be informed of the activities implemented by other actors on the ground in a view of actively contributing to the CP Working Group in place and avoid any overlaps in the activities.
