Job Requirements:

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in social sciences, education or equivalent, with at-least 02-03 years of experience ideally working with humanitarian or development sector. Experience in community work and/or experience in project implementation, preferably with an NGO; previous experience in using qualitative data collection methods will be an asset. Experience with both quantitative and qualitative data analyses. Previous experience in monitoring, evaluation and learning in livelihoods is preferred. Experience in data collection and data management will be an added advantage. Experience in conducting trainings, good problem-solving skills. Demonstrated skills in planning, organizing, analyzing and reporting. Ability to interact effectively with international and national personnel, as well as with project partners and community members. Fluency in written and spoken English and local languages is desirable. Must be proficient in computers especially advanced Excel, Word, Access and Power point. Experience in mobile data collection is an added value. Preference will be given to local candidates.          

Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Senior MEL Officer, this position will be responsible for supporting the organizations monitoring, evaluation and learning activities. Working collaboratively with key program and partner stakeholders, s/he will support the Program teams and the Senior MEL Officer in tracking and maintaining MEL activities conducted in the field. Working closely with implementing partners, the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer will be responsible to lead MEL data management, tool design, indicator tracking and reporting. The person will mainly be accountable to ensure timely planning and monitoring of activities. MEL Officer will support the department with translations, and support on managing, training and follow up with the MEL field teams.
