Job Requirements:
Education:
- University degree in relevant field
Experience and technical competencies:
- At least 1 years of work experience in humanitarian or educational projects
- Previous experience in awareness
- Previous experience in social / communication work
- Ability to work in team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Other/General:
- Computer skills Microsoft Office
- Be resident of Hassaka City and countryside
Languages:
- Arabic mandatory, English working Knowledge + any other local language is a big asset
We offer
The organization will offer the successful applicant a until 31st Dec-21 contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance.
Salary and conditions will be according to salary grid. Minimum 791 USD/month + (allowances).
Job Description:
- Project Management
- a) Planning
– Participate to the elaboration of the team planning established by the Project Officer, according to the project objectives and priorities, and taking into account security issues.
– Actively participate in the team’s daily and weekly meeting.
- b) Logistics
– In advance reporting to the Project Officer all needs in equipment and tools identified on the field
- Project Implementation
– Provide Risk Education awareness sessions to Syrian civilians, including IDPs and refugees, including identification of dangerous items and explosive weapons and safe/risky behaviors
– Collect data on the field to inform programming (including survey/impact assessment, dangerous areas and victims/accidents) when required
– Carry out marking of dangerous areas when possible and relevant (training & safety briefing will be provided to the staff to carry out these activities)
– Liaise with communities impacted by explosive weapons contamination as requested by the Project Officer.
– Participate in the elaboration, testing and dissemination of Information, Educational and Communication (IEC) materials to support RE activities, including identification of new IEC needs.
– Assess permanently the needs for professional trainings / briefings for RE in the community.
– Participate to the organization of public awareness campaign linked with Risk Education.
– Ensure that all RE sessions are conducted to a high quality standard in line with the International Mine Action Standards (IMAS) with the support of the RE Project Officer
- Reporting
– Report any specific problems that jeopardize the activities and suggest solutions to your line manager
– Handover all the data collected in the field to the database operator for entry and analysis on regular basis.
– Ensure data collected is accurate and, correct as necessary.
– Write a weekly report on all activities during the week and provide it to your line manager.
- Security
– Ensure strict application of all security rules and procedures, under the supervision of the Project Officer.
– Inform your line manager of any security/safety issues faced on the field by the team.
