Data Base Management Assistant-NES-Al Hol Camp (5729)
Job Function/ Description:
- Entering and managing data within department’s database software.
- Ensure that information is accurately entered in the system and follow proper procedures for formatting and securing data.
- Update data according to a set schedule or at a user’s request, working to maintain data integrity while making these changes under the supervision of the database management officer.
- Support quality assurance and control procedures by examine data for errors related to formatting, locate and eliminate duplicate entries, or resolve access issues.
- Verify information and update the database to reflect recent changes, and ensuring that the new data is correctly entered in the system.
- Provide training and advice to employees on correct database access and usage.
- Fulfill any other duties as requested and/or needed.
Required Education & Experience and Skills:
Education:
- BA/S degree in computer science, computer software/computer systems engineering, electronics, information technology, other relevant field required .
Experience:
- 2 years working experience in the NGOs.
- Preferably at least 3 years of experience in data management for research projects.
- Experience in emergency work is an advantage.
Skills/Competencies:
- Highly motivated, willing to learn, good team work, service-oriented and able to work under high pressure and within a limited time frame.
- Professional use of personal computer utilizing word processing, spreadsheet software programs.
- Applicable knowledge working with Access, SQL, etc and programming languages C#, etc.
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work under high pressure and within a limited time frame.
