About CvT:
Clovek v Tisni (CvT) is a non-governmental, non-profit making, international organization with headquarters in Prague, Czech Republic. Over the past 25 years, CvT has managed projects in 55 countries, providing relief aid and development assistance, implementing social integration programs, and increasing public awareness of global development issues. CvT helps in 15 countries with over 700 staff worldwide.
CvT has been working in Syria since 2012. CvT provides multi-sectoral assistance in Aleppo, Raqqa, and Al-Hasakeh provinces across Food Security and Livelihoods, WASH, Shelter, Protection, Education, and Capacity Building sectors. Since October 2013, CvT has been putting more effort into strengthening the capacities of local actors to enhance service delivery to the Syrian population, voicing the needs of the most vulnerable, as well as ownership and overall sustainability of CvT interventions in the protracted conflict.
Currently, CvT is expanding its activity in NES by including Agriculture programming in its portfolio to address the need of the community and improving Agricultural production.
Objectives:
The Livelihoods/Agriculture Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of agriculture activities in Manbij and Raqqa, including data collection, distribution Agri-inputs, technical training for farmers, follow up visits and other tasks as per needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
Project Planning and Coordination:
- Support the Senior Livelihoods Officer in coordinating and implementing Agriculture activities in targeted areas.
- Apply training and capacity building related to the vegetable value chain.
- liaising with community stakeholders about the implementation of agriculture activities
- Promote the climate-smart Agriculture (CSA) practices.
- Conduct awareness sessions, and deliver hands-on technical guidance, support and training to farmers on sustainable agricultural practices, including best Agriculture practices, soil management, and water management.
- Support in coordinating and overseeing distribution activities (agriculture vouchers) ensuring that the items are distributed in line with suitable season.
- Provide weekly and monthly reports on completed activities to LM.
Data Collection and Monitoring:
- Support in the evaluation of vendors for the activity through the collection of quality data.
- Collect and record relevant data related to agricultural activities, yields, and project indicators.
- Organise farmers in groups and select lead farmers.
- Collect accurate assessment data, ensuring that program participants are registered correctly and in lone with the criteria.
Other Required Tasks:
- Linking the lead farmers with the market and following up with them after distributions.
- Support with preparing agricultural technical training adapted to the local farmers based on the available training materials and planning.
- Effective and timely delivery of the Agriculture package of activities.
- Assist in organizing and coordinating logistics for project-related training, workshops, meetings, and events.
- Undertake any other tasks that may be assigned by LM.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy or Agriculture Extension, economics, or any other relevant university degree, a Master degree is a plus
- At least 2 years of progressive work experience in Agriculture in the field of, agricultural projects, and vegetable value chain.
- A strong understanding of Hydroponic Systems, irrigation systems, and planting, watering, and pest management is often required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate dialogue and trust-building among diverse groups. Demonstrated knowledge of sustainable agricultural practices, crop management, and soil conservation.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with community members, leaders, and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing project dynamics.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
- Good computer skills, including MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of cultural diversity and local customs and traditions.

الأهداف:
وسيضطلع المساعد المعني بسبل العيش/الزراعة بدور حاسم في دعم تنفيذ الأنشطة الزراعية في منبج والرقة، بما في ذلك جمع البيانات وتوزيع المدخلات الزراعية والتدريب التقني للمزارعين وزيارات المتابعة والمهام الأخرى حسب الاحتياجات.
الواجبات والمسؤوليات
تخطيط وتنسيق المشاريع:
• دعم الموظف الأقدم المعني بسبل العيش في تنسيق وتنفيذ أنشطة الزراعة في المناطق المستهدفة.
• تطبيق التدريب وبناء القدرات فيما يتعلق بسلسلة قيمة الخضروات.
• الاتصال بأصحاب المصلحة المجتمعيين بشأن تنفيذ الأنشطة الزراعية
• تعزيز ممارسات الزراعة الذكية مناخياً.
• تنظيم دورات توعية وتقديم التوجيه التقني العملي والدعم والتدريب للمزارعين بشأن الممارسات الزراعية المستدامة، بما في ذلك أفضل الممارسات الزراعية، وإدارة التربة، وإدارة المياه.
• دعم تنسيق أنشطة التوزيع والإشراف عليها (القسائم الزراعية) لضمان توزيع الأصناف بما يتماشى مع الموسم المناسب.
• تقديم تقارير أسبوعية وشهرية عن الأنشطة المنجزة إلى LM.
جمع البيانات ورصدها:
• دعم تقييم البائعين للنشاط من خلال جمع البيانات الجيدة.
• جمع وتسجيل البيانات ذات الصلة بالأنشطة الزراعية والمحاصيل ومؤشرات المشاريع.
• تنظيم المزارعين في مجموعات واختيار المزارعين الرئيسيين.
• جمع بيانات تقييم دقيقة، والتأكد من تسجيل المشاركين في البرنامج بشكل صحيح وبمفردهم بالمعايير.
المهام الأخرى المطلوبة:
• ربط المزارعين الرئيسيين بالسوق ومتابعتهم بعد التوزيعات.
• دعم إعداد التدريب التقني الزراعي المكيَّف للمزارعين المحليين استناداً إلى المواد التدريبية المتاحة والتخطيط.
- التنفيذ الفعال وفي الوقت المناسب لمجموعة الأنشطة الزراعية.
• المساعدة في تنظيم وتنسيق اللوجستيات لأغراض التدريب وحلقات العمل والاجتماعات والمناسبات المتصلة بالمشاريع. - اضطلع بأي مهام أخرى قد يكلفه بها LM.
المؤهلات والمهارات:
- درجة البكالوريوس في الزراعة أو البستنة أو الزراعة أو الإرشاد الزراعي أو الاقتصاد أو أي شهادة جامعية أخرى ذات صلة، درجة الماجستير هي ميزة إضافية
- ما لا يقل عن 2 سنوات من الخبرة العملية التقدمية في الزراعة في مجال المشاريع الزراعية وسلسلة قيمة الخضروات.
- هناك حاجة في كثير من الأحيان إلى فهم قوي لنظم الزراعة المائية ونظم الري والغرس والماء وإدارة الآفات.
- التواصل الممتاز والمهارات الشخصية لتيسير الحوار وبناء الثقة بين مختلف المجموعات. المعرفة المثبتة بالممارسات الزراعية المستدامة وإدارة المحاصيل وحفظ التربة.
- القدرة على بناء علاقات مع أفراد المجتمع وقادته وأصحاب المصلحة والمحافظة عليها.
- القدرة على العمل بشكل مستقل وكجزء من فريق، والتكيف مع ديناميات المشروع المتغيرة.
- مهارات تنظيمية ووثائقية قوية، مع الاهتمام بالتفاصيل.
- مهارات كمبيوتر جيدة، بما في ذلك مجموعة MS Office Word و Excel و PowerPoint
- معرفة التنوع الثقافي والعادات والتقاليد المحلية.
