متطلبات العمل:

  • Minimum one-year experience working with an INGO or LNGO as social worker.
  • University degree in psychology, social work, pedagogy, social sciences or another relevant field.
  • At least 2 years of progressively responsible professional experience in protection, GBV/WPE, child protection, case management and other related area.
  • Minimum 6 months experience working with NGOs as a case management
  • Previous experience in MHPSS is mandatory.

الوصف الوظيفي:

The Protection and GIE Program Assistant is responsible for the implementation of Protection activity with partner and referral system in CARE protection community centers and mobile protection units. S/he works under the supervision of the Protection Program Officer (PPO) and in collaboration with the Protection program team and partners. The protection Assistant supervises also the activities carried out by CARE volunteers in case management / referral. S/he is responsible for the quality and safeness of activities delivered under his/her supervision, according to CARE mandate and commitments and relevant international standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with CARE staff and volunteers (including other programs) and receive internal referrals for PSS support.
  • Coordinate with Case Workers to engage GBV survivors in psychosocial and life-skills activities.
  • Ensure that all protection program documents within the site or office is a safe space and well organized.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all the information known in the exercise of the job.
  • Support the protection program team in mapping available services, including liaising with other NGOs, INGOs, UN agencies, and local services’ providers in close coordination with protection officers.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders including referral organizations, community groups, HAO offices, and partners.
  • Complete weekly activity reports, according to guidance provided by the Program Manager and Protection Officers.
  • Ensure co-development of all daily/weekly/monthly work plan, in coordination with Protection officers.
  • Follow up on protection activities (Case Management, outreach activities, awareness raising sessions, PSS, recreational and vocational activities, etc) in close collaboration with protection officers and provide the needed support.
  • Be actively involved in setting up networks and linkages with key stakeholders.
  • Active participation in team meetings through field visits to Aresha camp, partners’ centers and other work locations.
  • Administrate, data collection, collation, analysis, and reporting in accordance with given requests.
  • Other related assignments.
  • Participate when required to needs assessment and periodic data collection exercises.
  • Represent CARE on local exercises in his/her geographic area of responsibility.
  • Internally refer GBV survivors in need of PSS services to CARE Case Workers. Provide Psychological First Aid and life-saving assistance when needed.
  • In general, make sure that a positive and professional image of CARE is conveyed. In particular, ensure that CARE mandate, thematic policies, ethics, values and views are followed in relation to third parties.
  • With support of PPO and respected partner, design a capacity building plan based on the capacity needs and the implemented activities.
  • Conduct the needed training for the partner staff and report the feedback to the team.
  • Design, plan and implement awareness-raising initiatives and activities targeting women, men, girls and boys and addressing their specific needs and major protection issues identified and prioritized by communities.
  • Maximize beneficiary participation in awareness-raising activities and encourage the implementation of community-based activities.
  • Design/adapt and advise partners on appropriate and accessible outreach and awareness-raising material and ensure close coordination with relevant stakeholders on the development of key messages
  • Support partners in the update of the service mapping and the development/strengthening of effective referral mechanisms. Refer to CWs GBV survivors identified.
  • Maintain liaison with the local government officials, other I/NGOs, and community-based organization’s (CBO) at the community level to ensure their cooperation and coordination for effective implementation of the program in the areas.
  • Represent CARE on local exercises in his/her geographic area of responsibility.

  • Under the supervision of the PPO and in close coordination with the Protection Data Assistant, ensure proper data collection of psychosocial activities and beneficiaries, ensuring confidentiality of data when required (including soft and hard data).
  • Collect data on regularly base and regularly update individual monitoring files of the Program beneficiaries.
  • Keep proper records of expenditures and report on these to the line manager.
  • Participate in the management of the program’s activities, according to the strategies for reaching the objectives.
  • Identify the problems associated with the delivery of the program and inform line manager, HR, logistics, beneficiaries in accordance to line manager’s orientations. Develop common priority actions leading to solutions to the identified problems.
  • Attend and take part in the meetings necessary for passing on information for the smooth running of activities.
  • Help his/her line manager in setting up the activities schedule every week.
  • Attend relevant trainings on Protection, GBV, Psychosocial Support and others when requested.
  • Use program resources effectively and with care. Raise to the line manager any material/service needed for the delivery of psychosocial activities.
  • Contribute to the development of procurement plans and raise purchase requests when required.
  • Bring special attention to risks of fraud and corruption and ensure CARE’s whistleblowing policy and mechanisms are disseminated and understood by the team.
  • Submit weekly movement plans according to the program priorities and weekly plan.
  • Report without delay any security issue / incident to the S&S focal point and the line manager and ensure security of the staff on the field.
  • Ensure understanding of and compliance to CARE PSEA and Child Safeguarding policies and reporting mechanisms.
  • Ensure affected populations are fully aware about CARE PSEA and CS policies and know how to report in a safe and confidential way.
