Job Requirements:

B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, construction management or related to the role.

Experience in Microsoft Office Programs, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Able to communicate with team (to listen, advise, support, solve conflicts, motivate, etc.).

Experience with participatory fieldwork, methodologies, monitoring and reporting.

Knowledge of humanitarian principles and code of conduct.

Patience, good personal organization, good communication and ability to work in teams, seriously, rigorously, and personal accountability.

Initiative, flexibility, and willingness to learn.

EXPERIENCE and SKILLS

AutoCAD/ Sketch up or 3D max, experience.

Computer literate (IT) and good level of numeracy.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in the field and in a related position. Preferably more, organizing the job of subordinates and mentoring them.

Fluency in written and spoken English and local language is a must “Arabic”.

Job Description:

Assessing civil and engineering works for different projects.

Preparing specifications, drawings, and bill of quantities for projects.

Close supervision for the implementation of the engineering works.

Analyzing and resolving work problems.

Preparing progress reports, expected completion dates, and payment documents regarding the civil and engineering works.

Preparing variation orders if any.

Attending regular Senior Staff meetings when required by the line manager.

Regular and daily visit to the project sites to ensure quality of the implemented works and coordinate with M&E and QA/QC staff for any raised/found issues/non-conformities.

Weekly reports for Blumont activities within the operations area.

Providing guidance and coordination with field monitoring and field assistant to follow-up and find appropriate solutions for daily problems.

Follow up activities that are being implemented by Blumont and the other actors in the camp, also providing guidance to the related teams inside and outside the camp for related activities.

Lead and track the work being performed by the implementing partners, ensuring that the work being performed is according to the contract, specifications, drawings and instructions.

Any other duties assigned by the line manager.
