Job Description:

GENERAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Project Coordinator with the successful completion of assigned projects on a day-to-day basis to ensure the effective and accountable management of the AFH projects.
  • Work closely with the Project Coordinator to develop project plans (detailed implementation plan, procurement plan, human resource plan, spending plan, etc…)
  • Ensuring effective implementation of the project that meets partner/ donor policy, procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Ensuring activities are in line with community and beneficiary needs
  • Ensuring project activities are implemented to a high quality based upon related standards (e.g. Sphere, CHS, …etc)
  • Ensuring proper project documentation and compilation of project data
  • Cooperate with the project manager/program manager to ensure risks are appropriately managed, including financial, safety and security, programmatic and reputational
  • Work closely with other departments on all issues related to the assigned project.
  • Ensure WASH activities are appropriate for the operating context and implemented in accordance with Donor requirements.
  • Contribute to the development/roll out of M&E tools and systems to ensure WASH is appropriately monitored including key indicators.
  • Provide regular updates to direct supervisor on priorities, progress, and constraints-verbally and in writing
  • Plan and manage WASH project activities in full consultation and coordination with Project Manager
  • Contribute to the design of and drafting of WASH technical proposals if needed
  • Any other duties that can be expected within the wider scope of this position at the request of a direct supervisor.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

BSc in Water, Environmental or Civil Engineering or relevant equivalent education background

General Work Experience:

  • Previous WASH project management experience.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ humanitarian aid experienc
