Job Title: Cashier

Job Requirements:
- Bachelors / Diploma Degree in accountancy of Finance, Accounting
- Good knowledge of MS office
- Previous experience in finance (6 months at least )/If it is with NGO, it is assisting
- Ability to communicate easily in Arabic and English
Job Description:
- Accounting and documentation:
1.1 Ensure that all cash-for-work beneficiaries have their attendance sheets duly filled and signed
1.2 Make sure that the Hawala uses the agreed-upon documents before any payments are don
1.3 Update the cash book daily (physical and excel sheet) and perform weekly and monthly checks With Coordination and Finance, Officer
1.4 Ensure to keep soft copies of all the vouchers and handle them with the accountancy on a monthly basis. The Cashier is also responsible for the correct archiving of the voucher as per ACTED Finance Manual guidelines
- Payments and cash management:
2.1. Ensure that all cash-for-work beneficiaries receive the correct amount of money
2.2. Prepare payment documentation prior Finance Officer and Coordination review and signature
2.3. Pay the salaries and suppliers’ payment upon the signed vouchers. Check that no supportive
documentation or signature is missing before releasing any payment
2.4. Safekeeping and check the Safe & Cashbook at the end of each day and ensure that the
balance matches with the Cash Books
- Implementation and Follow-Up of Financial tools:
3.1. Allocations: Check allocation, TPC, descriptions, and accounting codes
3.2. Budget Control and Funding Structure
3.3. Follow-up on the pending payments to be released based on the CFU
