Job Title: WASH Project Officer-Emergency Response

Job Requirements:

1-       University degree, engineering, science, social work, related majors.

2-       Min 2 years of total experience. in emergency response, wash, hygiene/ public health awareness raising

3-       At least 1 year experience in emergency, WASH

4-       Intermediate English level

5-       Previous NGO experience is a strong asset

6-       Demonstrated knowledge and know-how in emergency response

7-       Strong communication skills, flexibility, dynamism, organizational capacity, reports writing skills, good knowledge of the intervention area, ability to adapt to different audience, ability to develop and carry out capacity building activities, ability to communicate with utmost respect and compassion, ability to carry out automated data collection activities, ability to handle complaints and to negotiate and address conflicts.

Job Description:

1-       Lead Implement the emergency cholera response activity, and follow with the team the response plane

2-       Lead the communication needed for quick response with relevant partner and ensure the quick response.

3-       Ensure that all data related to activity are accurate and precise

4-       Participate in preparing the awareness raising messages and materials with the line manager and other team members.

5-       Participate in developing communication tools adapted to different audiences.

6-       Organize door to door visits and/or phone calls with the targeted families to communicate the Cholera and CVOID19 risk mitigation and hygiene awareness messages.

7-       Apply the defined methodologies in the Cholera risk mitigation and hygiene awareness raising sessions.

8-       Participate in project activities planning and scheduling according to the project timeframe and reality in the field.

9-       Conduct training sessions for the community workers (distribution workers).

10-     Participate in non-food items distributions and ensure beneficiaries safety according to the professional distribution standards.

11-     Participate in evaluation activities when needed.

12-     Write detailed report of daily/ weekly achievements to the line manager

13-     Propose possible improvements for the implemented activities.

14-     Commit and comply with the organization gender, age, and diversity principles & policies (working with people, communication).

15-     Support on the implementation and the promotion of gender, age, and diversity principles through daily activities and or through the management of their teams (Managing performance & development).
