Job Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of work experience; experience in programs implementation with international and/or local NGOs or other relevant organizations will be an asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s preferred.
  • Candidate must be willing to travel and work in difficult conditions.
  • Excellent skills in MS Word and Excel,
  • Demonstrated attention to details, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members is required.
  • Excellent planner and organizer, committed to high quality work and team accomplishment
  • Committed to sharing skills with other staff and building up the capacity of staff.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, Arabic and Kurdish, excellent writing and reporting skills

Job Description:

Program Management

  • Provide day-to-day supervision, mentorship and line management the project staff including performance

appraisal reviews.

  • Provide guidance, support, and training for the field staff and partners on the program modalities and

methodology.

  • Work closely with implementing partners (where applicable) developing strong working

relationships and building implementing partner capacity.

  • Support the development of partners’ MoUs and contracts & oversee a training program for program

partners.

  • Ensure that participants are effectively targeted according to established vulnerability criteria.
  • Integrate community approaches, gender sensitivity and do no harm principles into all activities as

appropriate.

  • Ensure program implementation is on time, target and budget, using effective M&E systems to reach desired impacts.
  • Create and maintain systems ensuring effective and transparent use of financial resources for timely and informative reporting in line with donor and policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all interventions adhere to Gender Policy, Do No Harm principles, and beneficiary accountability standards.
  • Together with partners, ensure and conduct community mobilization activities in the target communities for all different activities planned in those areas.
  • Support the Program Coordinator in developing implementation strategies for program modalities and partner capacity building (where applicable).
  • Maintain strong working relationships with relevant local authorities to facilitate distributions and other activities.
  • Develop weekly movements and activities plans.
  • Work closely with M&E, finance, logistics and operations team to ensure the smooth implementation of all activities.
  • Professionally represent at external meetings when required
  • Coordinate with other agencies to ensure against duplication of beneficiaries and maximize sharing of lessons learned and tools.
  • Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to the organization and to not jeopardize its humanitarian mission.

Finance & Compliance Management

  • Ensure compliance with donor and regulations related to emergency programming.
  • Draft and/or review scope of work to hire and manage any technical consultants, including review for technical efficacy and contract budget.

Security

  • Ensure field level compliance with security procedures and policies as determined by country leadership.
  • Proactively ensure that team members operate in a secure environment and are aware of policies.
