Job Requirements:
Education:
– intermediate (12 years schooling).
Experience and technical competencies: (include years of experience)
– Working with International organization or foreign missions.
– Must have moderate practical experience of repair and maintenance of premises.
– Some electrical, plumbing, and construction skills
– Ability to work under pressure (day off, after working hours…) in case of emergency.
Languages:
- Fluent Arabic and basic level of spoken English.
We offer
The organization will offer the successful applicant a contract until 31st Dec 2022, renewable depending on both funding and performance. and be willing and able to work in Al Hassakeh.
Salary and conditions will be according to the salary grid. Minimum 649 USD/month + (allowances).
Job Description:
The Base Maintenance Skilled Worker will be responsible for checking properties, generators, reporting to supervisor any problems, overseeing work on premises by contractors and assisting with repair and maintenance of offices and guest houses in Hassakeh.

Line manager: Facility Officer
Line manager+1:Log Manager
Missions / responsibilities (*)
1) REGULAR CHECKING (according to schedule from supervisor)
- General inspection (within limits of knowledge) of premises for preemptive intervention where required:
– Electrical fixtures and installation – e.g.: tube lights, bulbs, sockets and switches, stabilizers, UPS system, CCTV systems, water heaters etc.
– Building structure (walls, roofs, doors/windows etc….)
– Water pumps, water supply line leakages, taps and flush tanks etc.
– Gas bottle leaks on cookers
– Gas bottles – report stock levels of full and empty
– Door locks
– Organize and follow the FAK
– Organize and follow the fire extinguisher
– Organize and follow the Hibernation boxs
- Switch off air-conditioning units if no person presents.
- Water levels of water tanks, replenish if needed.
- Organize and follow key systems.
- Generators
– Check the fuel tank of generators and report to supervisor if refill is needed.
– Check for any visible signs of problems – restricted to leaks underneath, broken doors, generator house.
– Ensure laminated generator guide sheets are present and undamaged.
– Do small maintenance for generators (oil, filters…) and cleaning.
2) REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE
- Oversee the work of contractors.
- Within skill-level, perform any repair/maintenance tasks as required.
3) Administrative work and reporting
- Collect and process intervention forms.
- Alert supervisor of any problems/breakages etc. – immediately if urgent.
- Assist in finalizing Certificate of Completion forms for repair/maintenance/new work.
General support to supervisor, perform additional tasks as requested.
