Job Title: Tracking Operator (Daily Contract)

Job Requirements:
Experience in any relevant department in NGOs at least 6 months (desired)
At least 6 months experience in radio operator (required)
Good on computer skills (required)
Education:
At least secondary school, diploma or equivalent.
Languages: (indicate fluency level)

We will offer the successful applicant part time contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance.

Job Description:
- Ensure the tracking of each vehicle/team/expat at all times
- Manage the vehicles tracking system: SMS, GPS trackers, and Trak sat
- Responsive to answer SMS and tracking phone calls
- Ensure post is not left unattended and a designated stand-in is available to cover for any break, long or short
- Communicate with ORGANIZATION staff (nationals + expatriates) and drivers
- Explain to drivers how to use the GPS
- Explain to ORGANIZATION employees the reasons to track, when, and how
- Brief new ORGANIZATION employee/arrivals on tracking rules
- Responsible for the tracking phone and tracking equipment
- Collaborate with Fleet on movement plan and prepare daily vehicle follow-up according to the previous day’s movements
- Take proactive steps to alert drivers in case of violation, movement into unauthorized areas, and inform Fleet and Raqqa/Hassakeh HASO
- Be the first point of contact in an emergency during a movement and coordinate with Raqqa/Hassakeh HASO and relevant ORGANIZATION staff
- Capable of understanding statistical and contextual information and to provide a preliminary analysis
RULES TO BE OBSERVED
- Prepare the daily follow up according to movement plan. Anticipate daily movements.
- Communicate with Logistics Officer-Fleet and know movements and movement changes at all times.
- Give a 30 min handover to colleague when time shift is finished
- Know at all times the location of each vehicle, team, and expatriate
- Record all movements, phone calls, tracking points, and communication
- Knowledge of NES maps, roads, and geography
- Know time and distances between locations
- Know authorized and unauthorized roads and areas
- Inform Raqqa/Hassakeh HASM in an emergency
- Inform driver, Logistic Officer – Fleet and HAS Officer if invalidated road is taken.
- Work in cooperation spirit with ORGANIZATION staffs
Note that this job description must remain flexible, to respond to additional tasks or changes as identified by the line manager.
TIME SCHEDULE:
The normal working hours for the tracking operator – Daily contract are the following:
Whenever requested maximum 40 hours in a month.
However, due to nature of work, flexibility in working hours is expected.
About the job
Tracking operator is responsible to track and communicate effectively with all vehicles using proper communication equipment. Tracking operator is responsible to know at any time where each vehicle, each team is located in order to support movement and security management.
