Job Requirements:

University degree in psychology, social work, pedagogy, social sciences, or another relevant field. Minimum one-year experience working with an INGO or LNGO. Minimum one year of previous experience in protection/GBV/CP/MHPSS programs. Previous experience in humanitarian projects and human resources management. Commitment to and understanding core values and principles. Previous experience in emergency contexts and in the provision of assistance to IDPs and/or refugees. Commitment to gender, diversity, and human rights. Ability to work in unstable, uncertain, or potentially dangerous environments, independently and in a team. Excellent reporting and data management skills. Strong management and coordination capacity and excellent interpersonal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and team skills. Excellent skills MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point. Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English. Pro-active and helpful attitude, ready to take on variety of new tasks. Develops and encourages new and innovative solutions. Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with different stakeholders, including different communities in the target areas, humanitarian actors, service providers, local and national authorities. Not afraid to pilot new ideas, fail, and learn from mistakes. Willingness to travel in and out of the field. Experience working in Northeast Syria, particularly in Hassakah governorate. Experience working in a multi-organizational team (international and national partners.

Job Description:

Support the Protection Coordinator in designing project frameworks/objectives and ensure that the projects funded all meet set criteria and standards. Contribute to the design and lead needs assessments and gather data, conduct baseline studies, and help feedback findings to stakeholders. Ensure protection risks on the vulnerable are continuously monitored in a safe, organized, and ethical way and prepare regular reports for the line manager. In collaboration with the line manager, identify, prioritize, and mitigate protection risks in the area of operation. Proactively share suggestions and recommendations on the program’s activities with the line manager and suggest adjustments if needed. Under the supervision of the Protection and gender mainstreaming Coordinator, support in leading the design & planning of protection activities for women – mainly; couple sessions, community dialogue, community events, stakeholders dialogue, and awareness sessions. Keep proper records of weekly, monthly and quarterly report on these to the line manager. Prepare weekly and monthly activity schedules for the activities and oversee its application. Contribute to the design and/or the adaptation of technical resources to be used for activities’ implementation. Support in designing and implementing related sessions, starting with pre-test to the closer. Ensure implementation of the activities are in line with mission values and SOPs, relevant national/international standards, codes of conduct, and humanitarian principles, and support in the timely and successful implementation of planned project activities. Supervise monitoring activities to assess the quality and effectiveness of projects. Provide follow-up recommendations and solutions where there are problems in implementation. Ensure program implementation is on time, target, and budget, using effective M&E systems to reach desired impacts. Ensure participants’ feedbacks are systematically sought and complaints are addressed in coordination with the CARM and MEL team. Ensure participants’– participate actively in the project’s design, planning, implementing, and monitoring. Oversee the data collection process and ensures its accuracy Monitor project progress and quality and contribute to the successful attainment of project targets in line with agreed indicators. Contribute in the design of MEL surveys with the line manager and the MEL team and actively participate in conducting them and analyzing key findings. Identify any major discrepancy/ delay that may arise in project implementation and report immediately to line manager. Contribute to the development of procurement plans and raise purchase requests when required. Ensure movement plan are prepared on time and according to project activities schedule. Accomplish her/his duty of care in a

friendly manner and ensure participants are not exposed to stress. Refer participants to key service providers in accordance with organization’s guidelines and SOPs. Conduct and facilitate regular community engagement and awareness raising activities as required. Support the development of a referral service mapping. Collect information on access to services and provide regular updates on changes to services available.
