متطلبات العمل:

  • Education: college degree, preferably in social work, humanities and education.
  • Work Experience: 2-3 years of related program experience, preferably working with conflict-affected women and children
  • Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of basic counseling and psychosocial support concepts; previous training and experience in these areas strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated belief in gender equality and enthusiastic commitment to the safety and empowerment of women and children
  • Comfortable speaking about sensitive topics in an honest, professional, and thoughtful manner
  • Excellent communication skills and confident interpersonal interaction
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for clients at all times

o        Good computer skills Word/Excel.

Language Skills:  Fluency in Arabic mandatory, English is an advantage and Kurdish preferred

 

الوصف الوظيفي:

Staff supervision

  • Supervise Social workers who provide direct psychosocial and case management support to women and girls, including GBV survivors;
  • Provide on-going case management support and mentorship to social workers through one-on-one meetings to discuss their cases, workshops and other modalities;
  • Through close work with the WPE Capacity Building team ensure that Social workers and center-staff receive regular trainings and refreshers on GBV and Protection core concepts, and that their skills are improved to allow for quality delivery of counseling and case management, as needed.
  • To be responsible for managing the referral tracker for cases received and referred to other service providers internally and/or externally for social workers working with children and women and girls. Follow up and where appropriate provide feedback to service providers.

Center management

  • To set and oversee the center-schedule for delivering group PSS activities for women and children, including holding weekly center meetings;
  • Coordinate the assessment of women and girls for the provision of dignity kits with social workers and community mobilisers, share lists with the WPE Senior Programme Officer. Support the organization for dignity kit distribution in the field.
  • Work closely with the WPE Senior Programme Officer to ensure the appropriate selection of topics for information and awareness raising sessions. Organize and set the outreach plan for community focal points to ensure the delivery of these sessions in your area of coverage, and working closely to coordinate outreach with the Senior Community Mobilization Assistant.
  • Ensure the center is fully equipped and has the supplies and resources it needs to run and deliver activities in the women and child spaces;
  • After setting an activity schedule with the center staff including, social worker and child careers, put together a list of needs for their activities for the following three months and share this list of needs with the Center Administrative Assistant;
  • Support the Center Administrative Assistant to raise for center needs every three months, including hygiene and cleaning items and by completing your center planning tool, which includes a procurement plan;
  • Send updated center planning tools to your supervisor every month;

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Ensure that information and case files are carefully and safely stored in the center in line with Data Protection Protocols, raise concerns to your supervisor as needed;
  • Submit a weekly bullet point report to your supervisor to ensure they can keep abreast of your activities, raise any challenges or concerns or successes immediately to your supervisor;
  • Ensure you keep you tracking sheet of cases and referrals updated regularly to ensure an up-to-date number of center beneficiaries met with at the center, send this monthly to the M&R Assistant;

Staff Management and Development

  • Supervise and mentor direct-report staff, including communicating clear expectations, setting performance objectives, providing regular and timely performance feedback, and providing documented semi-annual performance reviews.
  • Monitor staff care and well-being and approve and manage all leave requests to ensure adequate coverage; raise any concerns to your supervisor;

Position directly supervises: Social workers, Childcare Workers, Administrative Assistant and Guard

Indirect Report to: WPE Manager

External: Other local and international actors, camp management
