Job Requirements:

Successful candidates should meet the education and experience requirements in the position

descriptions for the vacant positions preferred, Bachelor’s degree in social studies, Logistics,

Military studies, Armed Forces Administration, Organization or Management. and should have

a strong and demonstrated knowledge of safety and Security.

  • Experience with L/INGO in Safety & Security Department.
  • Knowledge of cash management principles and/or procedures.
  • Knowledge of relevant security clearance procedures and protocols.
  • Knowledge of routine fiscal management procedures and documentation as pertaining to public institutions.
  • Records maintenance skills.
  • Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
  • Organizing and coordinating skills.
  • Skill in utilizing building security and lock systems and procedures.
  • Skill in the use of computerized spreadsheet, relational database, and word processing
  • software.

Job Description:

Generic Responsibilities:

  • Aware about natural of NES and its Geographic.
  • Good knowledge about forces structure and actors found on ground in NES.
  • Ensure adherence with policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines.
  • Aware about Main actors in Hasakah city and Al-hole Camp in particular
  • Implement delegated support function portfolio according to plan of action.
  • Prepare and develop status reports as required by management, dail, weekly or Situation Report
  • Ensure proper filing of documents.
  • Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function.
  • Ensure proper implementation of security measures.
  • Uphold integrity and confidentiality.
  • Conduct situational monitoring and analysis.
  • Conduct security actor networking.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • The Security Assistance shall work under the Security Department in cooperation with all other related departments and report directly to the Senior staff in the Camp.
  • When directed, the Security Assistance shall seek and provide information and establish communication with government Offices, Camp administration, Police, Border Authorities etc. and be able to represent the organizational purposes, principles, and projects.
  • Develop and strengthen mechanisms for peace, safety, and security promotion among the IDP`s, Refugees, and the host community.
  • First point of contact for field staff on safety and security concerns in the governorate of Hasakah (Al-Hole Camp).
  • Monitor national, social, and political and security issues and inform senior staff of issues that affect or may affect, Blumont programs.
  • Train and supervise compound security Watchman, with the support of Senior Program team & Camp Manager.
  • Conduct security Risk Assessment for Al-Hol Camp, Hasakah City and rural area as per of targeting area and staff movements.
  • Update Emergency Tree Contact for Al-Hol Camps staffs.
  • Regular contact with Camp Administration, Humanitarian Affairs office, and other self-administration’s office in Hasakah and keep key staffs aware about new procedures.
  • Brief the Senior Program team & Camp Manager when changes in the security environment are detected.
  • Compile and submit incident reports within correct time limits.
  • Conduct regular checklist inspection for Al-hole camp.
  • update and issue relevant security procedures.
  • Prepare and send the Daily/weekly security and develop status reports as required by management to the Direct Supervisor/s and Security department.
  • Provide security briefing, update, and training to Blumont team.
  • Assist with fire drills and emergency evacuations.
  • Managing emergency situations.
  • Monitors intrusion detection alarms.
  • Maintains database records and hard copy files including those used to track safety and security data.
  • Assisting in emergencies as needed (Health, Fire, Bomb threats, discipline incidents, etc.).
  • Ensure proper filing of documents.
  • Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function.
  • Ensure proper implementation of security measures.
  • Uphold integrity and confidentiality.
  • Conduct situational monitoring and analysis.
  • Conduct Security assessment for each location as per request from time to time according to Security context.
  • Fulfils coordination function with security community, NGOs, and other authorities.
  • Closes out actions on the security action tracker.
  • Carry out other activities as requested.
