Job Title: Protection Temporary worker

Location: Al-Hasakeh

Contract duration: Till 31-March-2024

Line Manager: Protection and gender in Emergencies Officer

Position Summary

The Protection Temporary Worker will be supporting the Protection Officer in supervising the Protection program and projects implemented of protection program activities, ensure’ projects is in line with Protection strategy and adhere to humanitarian principles, policies, procedures, projects’ objectives and activities and donors’ requirements.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Support the Protection Social worker in developing work plans (daily and weekly) for protection activities.
  • Support the Social worker to do awareness raising for the Community.
  • Conduct daily field visit to the project implementation areas and working on protection tools (need assessment).
  • conduct field Visit and using protection tools Safety Audit in Al Hasakeh Region
  • Under the supervision of the Protection officer, attend local coordination meetings with partners when needed.
  • Attend and take part in the meetings necessary for passing on information for the smooth running of activities.
  • Attend relevant trainings on Protection, GBV, Psychosocial Support and others when requested. .
  • Under the supervision of the Protection officer and with the PSEA Focal Point, contribute in ensuring compliance of local partners towards PSEA and CS policies and build their capacities to better prevent, mitigate and address PSEA and CS risks.
  • Build friendly relationships with the local community.
  • Other tasks requested by the supervisor.

 

Required Qualification, Skills and Experience

  • University degree
  • Demonstrated good writing and editing skills in Arabic.
  • Good presentation and commination skills.
  • Experience in working with NGOs for one year, and 6 months’ work of protection sector.
