 Job Title: IT Officer

 

Location: NES – Hassakeh

 

       The Opportunity:

  • Continuously assess and monitor the IT requirement for the NES programmer oppressions that include infrastructure (hardware, software, applications, security equipment and software etc), coordinate and ensure in alignment of the same in NES per organizational standards.
  • Advise staff of security breaches and/or changes in password or security status
  • Monitoring and Maintain wired and wireless networks, desktop and server computers, Laptop, peripheral equipment e.g. printers, scanners, and projectors
  • Upgrade and update software devices to ensure minimum requirement/standard per the organization policy and procedures.
  • Provide Staff support and technical issue resolution via E-Mail, phone and other electronic medium.
  • Utilizing IT Support Ticketing System ( Jira ) for users Computer Problem
  • Setting up accounts for new users and configure it
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
  • Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
  • Testing new technology
  • Assets all IT Equipment
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
  • Installing and configuring Point to Point Network Devices (Power Beam M5, Rocket M5…..)
  • Experience in VSAT internet installing and configuring
  • Track and control equipment being added to the network by visiting sites and staff.
  • Regular field visits to support IT team in Derek and Raqqa and provide requires support
  • Organize and facilitate IT capacity building initiatives for the staff and volunteer/IW based on the needs assessment and putting a capacity building plan.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer Science, communication engineering, information system engineering or related fields
  • Minimum 2 year experience in similar role in NGO
  • English Fluently.
  • Experience in Windows environment, Azure , Active Directory , and Office 365
  • Experience In AD and Jira .
  • Very good knowledge for different types of firewalls
  • Very good interpersonal skills including Communication Skills.
  • Ability to Work under Pressure .
