About the job
The English language Teacher will be responsible for delivering comprehensive English language training to the existing staff. The training program will involve dividing the staff into two groups, with each group receiving a basic English language course. It is anticipated that there will be 10 trainees in each group, ensuring that all staff members have the opportunity to benefit from this language training initiative.
By providing comprehensive English language training to the current staff, this initiative aims to enhance their communication skills and overall proficiency in English. This will enable them to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders from diverse linguistic backgrounds. Ultimately, this training program will contribute to the professional development and growth of the staff members while also benefiting the organization as a whole.
HIERARCHICAL RELATIONSHIPS

Subordinates: Land Release Project Manager
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Planning and conducting 5 lessons weekly for two groups through basic English language and communication lessons.
– Provide the organization’s employees with English language lessons according to a lesson plan and employee Skill/knowledge level.
– The English Language Teacher should provide the organization with a clear lesson in advance, which is appropriate for the needs of the class level.
– The English Language Teacher should provide the organization with a method to measure the progress and competency of the English Language proficiency of the employees at the end of the lesson plan.
– Consistently keep a record of the participation of individual staff members.
– Organize English proficiency tests at the beginning and end of the course and verify satisfactory achievement of the trainees.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Group Lessons are scheduled on 5 days per week from Sunday through Thursday.
Scheduled time: first Group from 14:00 – 14:50 and second group from 15:00 to 15:50.
DURATION:
The teacher will be engaged for an initial period of 1 month and a half with the possibility of extension based on need.
The teacher will be contracted as a daily worker by the organization and both parties maintain the right to end the contract at any point and with a one-week notice provided.
Duty Station:
The course is to be delivered in Raqqa Governorate at the organization’s offices.
Requirements:
– Education: At least a Diploma degree in English literature field.
– Minimum 3 years of professional experience in teaching English as a foreign language.
– Excellent written and spoken English language skills are a key requirement.
– Strong professional communication and interpersonal skills and ability to transfer knowledge to the organization’s staff.
– Flexibility and ability to adjust to changing circumstances and needs.
– Previous experience working with NGOs is an asset.
– Arabic language fluency is essential.
– Being fluent in Local languages is an asset.
Financial Remuneration:
The financial remuneration will be on a per-lesson basis, as 7.5 USD per lesson.
Transportation, accommodation, and other expenses are not covered by the organization.
