Job Title: Child Protection Information Management System Officer (CPIMS Officer)

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Statistics, Economics, Bio statistics, Social Science, Computer Science or Project Management.
  • Diploma in IT with a bias in Database Development will be an added advantage and certificate in IM is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in INGO’s and or UN Agencies in developmental or in humanitarian programmes.
  • Strong information management and telecommunication skills and proficiency in IT/computer skills (including sound MS Excel, Ms PowerPoint and Ms Word proficiency).
  • Full understanding of Excel and report creation.
  • High level technical understanding of the deployment infrastructure (i.e. servers, ip addresses, databases, local and cloud deployments).
  • Preferably basic knowledge on case management and child protection programming
  • Experience in using digital data collection tools (Informbuilder, Kobo, ODK)
  • Experience in Database management systems (SQL server, Oracle, MySQL….etc.) and Structured Query Language (SQL) is highly advantageous.
  • Previous Experience in humanitarian organization, with strong practical understanding of programme implementation or M&E.
  • Willingness to be flexible and work long hours when required.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to remain calm and work well under pressure.
  • Good communication skills in English and Arabic languages.
  • Commitment to beneficiary accountability and humanitarian ethics.

Job Description:

The main duties include :

  • Support in documenting all Protection projects data.
  • Lead on data entry into the Child Protection Information Management System Plus (CPIMS+).
  • Ensure regular, timely and accurate entry of cases into the database as well as follow up.
  • With the coordination of the CM Officer ensure the information on the physical case files is synchronized with the CPIMS+
  • Ensure all cases registered includes all stages of the case management process such as registration, initial assessment, case plan, referrals, follow up and review, and case closure.
  • Develop case coding system for hard copy cases and ensure these are stored in a safe and confidential manner, according to data protection principles.
  • Work closely with the Protection Manager/Case management Officers to prepare monthly, disaggregated statistics and qualitative updates of progress on case management.
  • Work closely with the Protection Manager/ Protection Officers to prepare the monthly 5Ws, and monthly reports quantitative data.
  • Ensure that all relevant reporting tools are updated and submitted to Protection Manager/Coordinator
  • Work closely with the Protection team to support the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) team in monitoring and analysing pre and post-tests conducted.
  • Ensure that data related to children is safe.
  • Liaise and coordinate with third party information management staff involved in the Protection implementation of projects.
  • Continuous improvement of technological use in Protection programme implementation designed to improve quality of programme.
  • Identify training needs on CPIMS+ and deliver the training to the case management team.

 Represent CWW at external meetings related to information management e.g. monthly CPIMS Task Force meetings.

 Any other duties and support as assigned by the IM Manager.
