Service Officer-NES-Al Hol Camp
Job Function/ Description:
1- Collect technical data from all NGOs with activities in the camp to prepare daily site reports and send them to the Senior Site Engineer Coordinator
2- High experience in sewage networks, blockages, water networks, and dealing with damages that may occur in the network
3- Ensure that weekly field reports are submitted on time to enhance the preparation of donor reports for timely submission, in accordance with grant agreements.
4- Supervising all activities carried out by Bluemont (only) for camp residents, bread, gas cylinders, washing water, garbage collection…etc.
5- Supervising service supervisors and giving technical and theoretical instructions to perform tasks in accordance with Bluemont standards.
6-Support and check the quality of work done by the service team as requested by the Chief Site Engineer.
7- Accept new responsibilities when appointed by the direct manager.
8-Planning schedules and resources needed for upcoming service activities and services in direct coordination with the direct manager.
9- Follow up on the solid waste management plan and ensure that the plan is well implemented on the ground.
10- Follow up on complaints received from other teams, especially information tablets, and distribute tasks to the team to resolve complaints.
11- Follow up on the status of the main activities in each block in the camp.
12- Monitor the amount of domestic and drinking water for each block in the cover and ensure that the standards are met
13-Follow up on sludge removal activities, open latrines, and prepare assessments for latrines that need maintenance.
14- Conduct regular assessments of toilets, bathrooms, road conditions, shared kitchens, septic tank covers, and other needs.
15-Responsible for all signed documents and documentation process for service activities.
Required Education & Experience and Skills:
Education:
• University degree(Engineering or equivalent), organizational Behavior, community development
Experience:
• 3 years of practical experience in non-governmental organizations. In the washing and water sector
Skills/Competencies:
• Good skills in mobilizing community resources.
• Demonstrated experience with training and capacity-building.
• Fluency in English language, Arabic.
• Good experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Have high standards of ethics and integrity.
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to identify community problems and skills development Desired skills and qualifications.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work demands in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse population and community-based agencies.
