 Job Title: Construction Consultant

 

Location: NES – Hassakeh

 

       The Opportunity:

  • Field visit to sites targeted by the organization to prepare lesson learnt report and consider in the future projects
  • Review available technical packages of WASH Projects this include BoQ, drawings, technical specification and criteria, and discuss with the organization staff and consultants on designs package and practices to modify/improve where needed
  • Review current construction monitoring and handing over procedures and feedback in the form and procedure
  • Review the current practice of maintenance and operation to ensure the sustainability of the project and developing a guidance note on operation and maintenance
  • Prepare training package including assessing team capacity, materials and timeframe for delivering the trainings
  • Final Report on completion of assignment to be circulated to WASH TS/TA and HoP, including lessons learnt and recommendations for the future

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

  • Civil Engineer Bachelors degree level (minimum), preferred Master degree
  • Familiarity with international Construction best practice
  • Familiarity with Syrian building regulations & infrastructure standards
  • Excellent skills in Construction Soft programs and CAD skills –AutoCAD, WaterCAD, SewerCAD
  • WASH, Shelter and infrastructure projects with international NGOs and/or governmental institutes (10+ years)
  • Previous experience in consultancy service and trainings for NGOs and/or governmental institutes (+5 years)
