About the mission
CvT delivers assistance in Northern Syria addressing the needs of IDPs and hosting communities in several sectors such as food security, education, livelihoods, shelter and WASH. CvT is well-established organization with several field offices, direct implementation and more than 300 employees.
About the role
The Community Outreach Worker will support the various departments/ sectors in the field with reaching out to the community, being in contact with them and the field implementation of protection mainstreaming and referrals activities. The specific focus will be on areas related to CvT programming. She/he will be working directly under supervision of the Sr. Protection Officer in close cooperation with Education and Protection HoP.
Duties and responsibilities
Community Outreach Activities
- Responsible for the organization and execution of awareness raising events/campaigns, as requested by and related to the various departments;
- Liaising with communities, explaining the CRM and referring household members where necessary to protection actors through the adequate protection referral mechanism after executing an initial assessment;
- Closely follow-up, training and coaching of staff on communication with beneficiaries as regulated through the Community Feedback and Response Mechanism;
- Complement the existing mission-wide protection risk analysis by conduction micro-level community protection needs/risk analysis, service mapping;
- Identify specific vulnerabilities experienced by men, women, girls, and boys, and groups such as IDPs, elderly, individuals with disabilities, and persons belonging to other minorities in target communities;
- With the support of Education/PSS team and Livelihoods team, support to organize parenting skills sessions in schools, centers, and communities;
- Collaborate with the Education/PSS team to plan and implement campaigns and awareness sessions for back to school and related topics in the targeted communities.
- Support other departments like WASH and Shelter for community awareness sessions and information sharing;
- Identify the protection barriers for the proper implementation of the projects ensure protection is integrated in the activities.
- Conduct monthly activities with caregivers to enhance their skills in parenting, child protection and child well-being, and provide them with support and guidance.
- Support the Sr . protection officer and MEAL department with the regular monitoring and evaluation of the impact of protection mainstreaming mechanisms across all project areas and throughout project cycles, by using the protection mainstreaming departmental checklists;
- Facilitating referrals to other actors specializing in services including but not limited to protection, child protection, nutrition, health, legal services;
- Possibility to be nominated as field-based PSEA focal point;
- s/he may require to travel to Manbij and support the protection team there, when asked by the supervisor
Suitable candidates for this position should possess:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor degree/At least 1-2 year of experience in the field of psychology, sociology, education;
- Experience of conducting community mobilization;
- Strong personal commitment to aid transparency and accountability;
- Understanding of protection principles and their practical application;
- Experience working for (inter)national NGOs (desired);
- Experience working in protection (mainstreaming) programs is considered an advantage.
Skills and Personality Requirements:
- Good interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work under pressure and remain calm despite setbacks, managing and meeting deadlines;
- Fluent in Arabic and Kurdish, good level of English is considered an advantage;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team in multiple sectors;
- Willing and able to frequently travel to CvT offices and field sites;
- Ability to conduct training and awareness sessions;
- Capacity to prioritize and communicate effectively.
- Knowledge of parenting skills, hygiene promotions (CLTS, PHAST, CHAST) and/or Housing, Land and Property (HLP) rights is an advantage.

عن المهمة
تقدم CvT المساعدة في شمال سوريا لتلبية احتياجات النازحين والمجتمعات المضيفة في العديد من القطاعات مثل الأمن الغذائي والتعليم وسبل العيش والمأوى والمياه والصرف الصحي والنظافة الصحية. CvT هي منظمة راسخة مع العديد من المكاتب الميدانية والتنفيذ المباشر وأكثر من 300 موظف.
عن الدور
عامل التوعية المجتمعية سيدعم الاقسام المختلفة في هذا المجال من خلال الوصول إلى المجتمع، والتواصل معهم والتنفيذ الميداني لأنشطة تعميم الحماية والاحالة. وسينصب التركيز بشكل خاص على المجالات المتعلقة ببرمجة CvT. ستعمل مباشرة تحت إشراف كبير مسؤولي الحماية بالتعاون الوثيق مع إدارات التعليم وسبل العيش.
الواجبات والمسؤوليات
أنشطة التوعية المجتمعية
– مسؤول عن تنظيم وتنفيذ أنشطة / حملات التوعية ، بناءً على طلب الأقسام المختلفة والمتعلقة بها ؛
– الاتصال بالمجتمعات ، وشرح الية ردود الفعل والشكاوى وإحالة أفراد الأسرة عند الضرورة إلى الجهات الفاعلة في مجال الحماية من خلال آلية إحالة الحماية المناسبة بعد إجراء تقييم أولي ؛
– المتابعة عن كثب ، و تدريب الموظفين على التواصل مع المستفيدين على النحو الذي تنظمه آلية ردود فعل المجتمع والاستجابة ؛
– استكمال تحليل مخاطر الحماية الحالي على مستوى البعثة من خلال إجراء تحليل مخاطر / احتياجات حماية المجتمع على المستوى الجزئي ، ورسم خرائط الخدمة ؛
– تحديد نقاط الضعف المحددة التي يعاني منها الرجال والنساء والفتيات والفتيان والجماعات مثل النازحين وكبار السن والأفراد ذوي الإعاقة والأشخاص الذين ينتمون إلى أقليات أخرى في المجتمعات المستهدفة ؛
– بدعم من فريق التعليم / الدعم النفسي الاجتماعي وفريق سبل العيش ، دعم تنظيم دورات وجلسات مهارات الأبوة والأمومة في المدارس والمراكز والمجتمعات ؛
_ – التعاون مع فريق التعليم / الدعم النفسي الاجتماعي لتخطيط وتنفيذ حملات وجلسات التوعية للعودة إلى المدارس والمواضيع ذات الصلة في المجتمعات المستهدفة.
– دعم الإدارات الأخرى مثل المياه والصرف الصحي والنظافة والمأوى لجلسات التوعية المجتمعية وتبادل المعلومات ؛
– تحديد معوقات الحماية للتنفيذ السليم للمشاريع بما يضمن دمج الحماية في الأنشطة.
_ إجراء أنشطة شهرية مع مقدمي الرعاية لتعزيز مهاراتهم في الأبوة والأمومة وحماية الطفل ورفاهية الطفل، وتزويدهم بالدعم والتوجيه.
– دعم كبير مسؤولي الحماية وقسم المراقبة والتقييم المنتظمين لتأثير آليات تعميم الحماية في جميع مناطق المشروع وطوال دورات المشروع ، باستخدام قوائم المراجعة الإدارية لتعميم الحماية ؛
– تسهيل الإحالات إلى الجهات الفاعلة الأخرى المتخصصة في الخدمات بما في ذلك على سبيل المثال لا الحصر الحماية وحماية الطفل والتغذية والصحة والخدمات القانونية ؛
– إمكانية الترشيح كنقطة اتصال ميدانية للحماية من الاستغلال والانتهاك الجنسيين ؛
– قد يطلب السفر إلى مناطق أخرى ودعم فريق الحماية هناك عندما يطلب ذلك من قبل المشرف

التعليم والخبرة:
– شهادة / من سنة واحدة الى سنتين على الأقل من الخبرة في مجال علم النفس وعلم الاجتماع والتعليم؛
– خبرة في التعبئة المجتمعية
– التزام شخصي قوي بالمساعدة في الشفافية والمساءلة.
– فهم مبادئ الحماية وتطبيقها العملي.
– خبرة في العمل مع المنظمات غير الحكومية (الدولية) (مرغوب فيه) ؛
– خبرة في العمل في برامج الحماية (التعميم) تعتبر ميزة.
المتطلبات والمهارات الشخصية:
– مهارات جيدة في التعامل مع الآخرين.
– القدرة على العمل تحت الضغط والحفاظ على الهدوء على الرغم من النكسات ، وإدارة والوفاء بالمواعيد النهائية.
– يجيد / تجيد اللغة العربية و الكردية ، ويعتبر مستوى جيد في اللغة الإنجليزية ميزة ؛
– القدرة على العمل بشكل مستقل وكجزء من فريق ديناميكي في قطاعات متعددة.
– راغبة \راغب وقادرة\قادر على السفر بشكل متكرر إلى مكاتب CvT والمواقع الميدانية.
– القدرة على إجراء دورات تدريبية وتوعوية.
– القدرة على تحديد الأولويات والتواصل بشكل فعال.
– المعرفة بمهارات الأبوة والأمومة ، والترقيات الصحية (CLTS ، PHAST ، CHAST) و / أو حقوق الإسكان والأراضي والممتلكات (HLP) ميزة.
