Job Description
The ALP Education promoter will be based in TLS/ Classroom and will be under supervision of and report to the EDU/PSS Assistant.
Responsibilities
The main responsibility of the ALP Education promoter is to provide structured literacy, Numeracy, and ALP lessons, Social Emotional Learning (SEL) activities and remedial classes for children (including children with special vulnerabilities), in CVT TLSs/ Classrooms. S/He will be working under direct supervision of the EDU/PSS Assistant.
The main tasks of the ALP Education promoter are as follows:
- Take full responsibility in the implementation of Temporary Learning space (TLS) & Remedial classes, and particularly structured SEL & ALP activities according to the agreed plan of action;
- Implement SEL programs and activities to support the emotional well-being and development of children in the TLS.;
- Create a Safe and Comfortable Environment: Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where children feel safe, respected, and comfortable expressing themselves.
- Conduct Remedial Classes: Provide targeted instruction and support to students who are struggling academically, helping them catch up and improve their performance.
- Deliver Basic Literacy & Numeracy Classes: Teach foundational literacy and numeracy skills to children, ensuring they develop a strong foundation in these areas.
- Develop Lesson Plans and Teaching Materials: Prepare engaging lesson plans and teaching materials aligned with the curriculum to facilitate effective teaching and learning.
- Assess Student Progress: Regularly assess and monitor student progress, identifying areas of improvement and implementing appropriate interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with Parents and caregivers: Maintain open communication with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on student performance and addressing any concerns or queries.
- Prepare, support and facilitate during monthly caregiver engagement activities on parent skills, child protection and child well-being;
- Collaborate with school administrators to ensure smooth operation of the TLS, actively participating in staff meetings and professional development activities.
- Ensure that children feel comfortable, safe, and respected;
- Register attendance of children on a daily basis, and report weekly;
- Keep accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and other relevant data, maintaining confidentiality and privacy as required.
- Stay updated with the latest educational research and best practices, actively seeking professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
- Participate in conducting outdoor activities for children in the urban & rural settings.
- Ensure that all games and equipment are accounted for and sorted securely at the end of the day;
- Ability to identify problems and resolutions;
- Identify children in distress and report cases to supervisors;
- Understand and abide by the principles of the centre and the established codes of conduct, child protection policies, and other relevant guidelines;
- Any other task as requested by the CVT EDU/PSS team;
- Will adhere to COVID-19 & Cholera preventive measures during and throughout execution of all above mentioned tasks.
Requirements and qualifications for the position:
- Minimum required education – bachelor degree in Education, English/Arabic literatures, Mathematics, science or relevant (obligatory);
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in child care, teaching or similar (obligatory);
- Previous experience in teaching will be considered as an advantage (desired);
- Previous experience in working with children with special vulnerabilities will be considered as an advantage (desired);
- Previous experience in working with children from 5 to 16 years old will be considered as an advantage (desired);
- Previous experience in conducting ASER tests and caregiver awareness sessions will be considered as an advantage (desired);
- Patient. Ability to control big classes (obligatory);
- Experience in report writing (desired);
- Excellent organization, coordination, analytical skills; and capacity to prioritize, and communicate effectively.

المسؤوليات
تتمثل المسؤولية الرئيسية لمنشط التعليم والتعلم المستمر والمسرع في توفير أساسيات التعليم غير الرسمي ودروس التعليم غير المسرع والجلسات التعويضية والتعلم الاجتماعي العاطفي للأطفال (بما في ذلك الأطفال ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة) في مركز التعلم المؤقت وصفوف الدروس التعويضية. سيعمل منشط التعليم والتعلم المستمر والمسرع تحت الإشراف المباشر لمسؤول التعليم والدعم النفسي الاجتماعي.
المهام الرئيسية لمنشط التعليم والدعم النفسي الاجتماعي كالتالي:
- تحمل المسؤولية الكاملة في تنفيذ أنشطة مركز الطفولة، وخاصة برامج الدعم النفسي المهيكلة وأنشطة تنمية الطفولة المبكرة و / أو أنشطة التعلم الاجتماعي العاطفي وفقًا لخطة العمل المتفق عليها
- تنفيذ برامج وأنشطة التعلم الاجتماعي والعاطفي (SEL) لدعم الرفاهية العاطفية ونمو الأطفال في مراكز التعلم المؤقتة.
- خلق بيئة آمنة ومريحة: تعزيز بيئة تعليمية راعية وشاملة حيث يشعر الأطفال بالأمان والاحترام والراحة في التعبير عن أنفسهم.
- إجراء دروس تعويضية وترميمية: توفير التعليمات والدعم المستهدفين للطلاب الذين يعانون أكاديميًا، ومساعدتهم على اللحاق بالركب وتحسين أدائهم.
- تقديم دروس القراءة والكتابة والحساب الأساسية: تعليم القراءة والكتابة والمهارات الحسابية الأساسية للأطفال، وضمان تطوير أساس قوي في هذه المجالات.
- تطوير خطط الدروس ومواد التدريس: إعداد خطط الدروس الجذابة والمواد التعليمية المتوافقة مع المنهج الدراسي لتسهيل التدريس والتعلم الفعال.
- تقييم تقدم الطلاب: يقوم بتقييم ومراقبة تقدم الطلاب بشكل منتظم، وتحديد مجالات التحسين وتنفيذ التدخلات المناسبة حسب الحاجة.
- التعاون مع أولياء الأمور ومقدمي الرعاية: الحفاظ على التواصل المفتوح مع أولياء الأمور ومقدمي الرعاية، وتوفير تحديثات منتظمة حول أداء الطلاب ومعالجة أي مخاوف أو استفسارات.
- إعداد ودعم وتسهيل أنشطة مشاركة مقدمي الرعاية الشهرية بشأن مهارات الوالدين وحماية الطفل ورفاهية الطفل.
- التعاون مع مديري المدارس لضمان التشغيل السلس لـمراكز التعلم المؤقتة، والمشاركة بنشاط في اجتماعات الموظفين وأنشطة التطوير المهني.
- التأكد من أن الأطفال يشعرون بالراحة والأمان والاحترام.
- تسجيل حضور الأطفال بشكل يومي، وتقديم تقرير أسبوعي.
- لاحتفاظ بسجلات دقيقة لحضور الطلاب، والتقييمات، والبيانات الأخرى ذات الصلة، مع الحفاظ على السرية والخصوصية كما هو مطلوب.
- البقاء على اطلاع بأحدث الأبحاث التعليمية وأفضل الممارسات، والبحث بنشاط عن فرص التطوير المهني لتعزيز مهارات التدريس.
- المشاركة في تنفيذ أنشطة الدعم النفسي الاجتماعي الخارجية للأطفال في المناطق الحضرية والريفية.
- ضمان احتساب جميع الألعاب والمعدات وفرزها بشكل آمن في نهاية اليوم.
- القدرة على تحديد المشاكل والحلول.
- تحديد الأطفال في محنة وإبلاغ المشرفين بالحالات.
- فهم مبادئ المساحات الصديقة والالتزام بها وقواعد السلوك المعمول بها وسياسات حماية الطفل والمبادئ التوجيهية الأخرى ذات الصلة
- أي مهمة أخرى يطلبها فريق التعليم والدعم النفسي الاجتماعي
- سيلتزم بالتدابير الوقائية لـ كوفيد 19 ومرض الكوليرا أثناء تنفيذ جميع المهام المذكورة أعلاه وطوالها.
المؤهلات المطلوبة:
- إجازة جامعية في التربية , اللغة الإنكليزية أو اللغة العربية, الرياضيات أو العلوم أو فرع تعليمي تربوي ذو صلة. (شرط الزامي)
- سنة خبرة على الأقل في التعامل مع الأطفال او التدريس (شرط الزامي)
- تعتبر الخبرة في مجال التعليم والعناية بالأطفال حافزا للتوظيف
- خبرة سابقة في التعامل مع الأطفال ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة ويعتبر هذا الشرط أحد حوافز التوظيف
- تعتبر الخبرة السابقة في العمل مع الأطفال من سن 5 إلى 16 سنوات ميزة (مرغوبة)؛
- تعتبر الخبرة السابقة في إجراء اختبارات ASER وجلسات توعية مقدمي الرعاية ميزة (مرغوبة).
- الصبر والقدرة على ضبط الصفوف الكبيرة (شرط الزامي)
- الخبرة في كتابة التقارير.
- خبرات ممتازة في التنظيم والتنسيق والتحليل والقدرة على التواص الفعال
