Job Description
The EDU/PSS Promoter will be based in TLC and will be under supervision of and report to the EDU/PSS Assistant.
Responsibilities
The main responsibility of the EDU/PSS promoter is to provide structured Psychosocial Support (PSS), Social Emotional Learning (SEL) activities and ALP classes for children (including children with special vulnerabilities), in CVT TLCs. S/He will be working under direct supervision of the EDU/PSS Assistant.
The main tasks of the EDU/PSS promoter are as follows:
- Take full responsibility in the implementation of Temporary Learning centre (TLC), and particularly structured PSS Programs SEL & ALP activities according to the agreed plan of action;
- Supervise and support children’s play activities at the agreed time;
- Ensure safe and child friendly atmosphere within the Temporary Learning centre;
- Conduct a daily visual assessment of the children and ensure a variety of structured games and activities within the centre, creating to the needs of children of different ages, genders, and abilities;
- Carry out BLN, SEL and ALP courses for children in a supportive and appealing way as per the agreed strategies.
- Support with the preparation of SEL, classes and/or ALP & PSS activities;
- Prepare, support and facilitate during monthly caregiver engagement activities on parent skills, child protection and child well-being;
- Ensure that children feel comfortable, safe, and respected;
- Register attendance of children on a daily basis, and report weekly;
- Assess progress of children’s well-being with the use of the Strengths- and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ);
- Participate in conducting outdoor activities for children in the urban & rural settings.
- Ensure that all games and equipment are accounted for and sorted securely at the end of the day;
- Ability to identify problems and resolutions;
- Identify children in distress and report cases to supervisors;
- Understand and abide by the principles of the centre and the established codes of conduct, child protection policies, and other relevant guidelines;
- Any other task as requested by the CVT EDU/PSS team;
- Will adhere to COVID-19 & Cholera preventive measures during and throughout execution of all above mentioned tasks.
Requirements and qualifications for the position:
- Minimum required education – bachelor degree in Education, psychology, pedagogy, social work or relevant (obligatory);
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in child care, teaching or similar (obligatory);
- Previous experience in EDU/PSS will be considered as an advantage (desired);
- Previous experience in working with children with special vulnerabilities will be considered as an advantage (desired);
- Previous experience in working with children from 3 to 5 years old will be considered as an advantage (desired);
- Previous experience in conducting ASER tests and caregiver awareness sessions will be considered as an advantage (desired);
- Patient. Ability to control big classes (obligatory);
- Experience in report writing (desired);
- Excellent organization, coordination, analytical skills; and capacity to prioritize, and communicate effectively.

المسؤوليات
تتمثل المسؤولية الرئيسية لمنشط التعليم والدعم النفسي الاجتماعي في توفير أساسيات التعليم غير الرسمي والدعم النفسي والاجتماعي والتعلم الاجتماعي العاطفي للأطفال (بما في ذلك الأطفال ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة) في مركز التعليم المؤقت. سيعمل منشط التعليم والدعم النفسي الاجتماعي تحت الإشراف المباشر لمسؤول التعليم والدعم النفسي الاجتماعي.
المهام الرئيسية لمنشط التعليم والدعم النفسي الاجتماعي كالتالي:
- تحمل المسؤولية الكاملة في تنفيذ أنشطة مركز الطفولة، وخاصة برامج الدعم النفسي المهيكلة وأنشطة تنمية الطفولة المبكرة و / أو أنشطة التعلم الاجتماعي العاطفي وفقًا لخطة العمل المتفق عليها
- الإشراف على أنشطة لعب الأطفال ودعمها في الوقت المتفق عليه
- ضمان أجواء آمنة وصديقة للأطفال داخل المركز التعليمي.
- إجراء تقييم بصري يومي للأطفال والتأكد من وجود مجموعة متنوعة من الألعاب والأنشطة المنظمة داخل المركز التعليمي، بما يلبي احتياجات الأطفال من مختلف الأعمار والأجناس والقدرات.
- تنفيذ دورات محو الامية والحساب والدروس التعويضية الترميمية، التعلم الاجتماعي العاطفي ودروس التعليم المسرع للأطفال بطريقة داعمة وجذابة وفقا للاستراتيجيات المتفق عليها.
- دعم إعداد الأنشطة الخارجية و / أو فصول التعلم الاجتماعي العاطفي و / أو أنشطة الدعم النفسي الاجتماعي.
- إعداد ودعم وتسهيل الأنشطة الشهرية لإشراك مقدمي الرعاية بشأن مهارات الوالدين وحماية الطفل ورفاه الطفل
- ضمان شعور الأطفال بالراحة والأمان والاحترام.
- تسجيل حضور الأطفال على أساس يومي، والتقرير الأسبوعي.
- المشاركة في تنفيذ أنشطة الدعم النفسي الاجتماعي الخارجية للأطفال في المناطق الحضرية والريفية.
- ضمان احتساب جميع الألعاب والمعدات وفرزها بشكل آمن في نهاية اليوم.
- القدرة على تحديد المشاكل والحلول.
- تحديد الأطفال في محنة وإبلاغ المشرفين بالحالات.
- فهم مبادئ المساحات الصديقة والالتزام بها وقواعد السلوك المعمول بها وسياسات حماية الطفل والمبادئ التوجيهية الأخرى ذات الصلة
- أي مهمة أخرى يطلبها فريق التعليم والدعم النفسي الاجتماعي
- سيلتزم بالتدابير الوقائية لـ كوفيد 19 ومرض الكوليرا أثناء تنفيذ جميع المهام المذكورة أعلاه وطوالها.
المؤهلات المطلوبة:
- إجازة جامعية في التربية او علم النفس او الدراسات الاجتماعية أو فرع تعليمي تربوي ذو صلة. (شرط الزامي)
- سنة خبرة على الأقل في التعامل مع الأطفال او التدريس (شرط الزامي)
- تعتبر الخبرة في مجال الدعم النفسي والمساحات الصديقة للطفل حافزا للتوظيف
- خبرة سابقة في التعامل مع الأطفال ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة ويعتبر هذا الشرط أحد حوافز التوظيف
- تعتبر الخبرة السابقة في العمل مع الأطفال من سن 3 إلى 5 سنوات ميزة (مرغوبة)؛
- تعتبر الخبرة السابقة في إجراء اختبارات ASER وجلسات توعية مقدمي الرعاية ميزة (مرغوبة).
- الصبر والقدرة على ضبط الصفوف الكبيرة (شرط الزامي)
- الخبرة في كتابة التقارير.
- خبرات ممتازة في التنظيم والتنسيق والتحليل والقدرة على التواص الفعال
