Job Title: Supply Chain Assistant Warehouse

 

Location: Derek Area Office

 

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

 

Warehousing and Inventory Management in the Field Office:

 

  • Implement the Warehouse and Inventory Management System (TIM) System and Warehouse & Distribution Standard Operating Procedures on Goods Receipt and Stock Releases.
  • Implement Warehouse standards and procedures to meet the organization operational quality standards.
  • Suggest Warehouse improvement plans and constantly review the Internal Controls Checklist for the Warehouse Operation to mitigate and manage risks
  • Participate in the process of Quarterly Physical Stock take to ensure records and physical stocks records are reconciled within active project life of awards and grants
  • Promote the use of Distribution Plans from program teams to ensure accurate distribution of supplies within active project life to avoid residual stocks(stocks on expired SOFs).

  Information Management & Reports:

  • Share weekly updates on Warehouse operations, achievements, challenges, solutions, innovations
  • Consolidate Inventory Management closeout documentation and reports
  • Share weekly updates on Warehouse operations, achievements, challenges, solutions, innovations
  • Participate in logistics Working Group Meetings and other relevant Inter Agency Collaboration engagements to stay constantly updated on logistics information sharing.

Partner’s Capacity Development:

  • Focus on the on areas identified as logistics gaps during partner capacity assessment/s
  • Support Partners to scale up their Warehouse capacity and understanding of processes, systems and Warehouse operations.

 

In order to be successful, you will bring/have:

 

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • A minimum of 2 years professional technical experience in the similar role with INGOs.
  • Experience in working with supply chain management in an emergency environment including complex, transport and distribution, warehouse and stock.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office
  • High attention to detail
  • Good in English, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to work effectively and calmly in a high-pressure environment and to prioritize and effectively manage assignments in a timely fashion.
