Blumont is looking to hire 02 Positions of Watchman –  in Roj Camp

  • The role reports to- Safety & Security Officer
  • Staff reporting to this post: N/A

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABLITY

  • Protect organization’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
  • In the event that no Blumont personnel are present, to ensure that the Camp/office and compound remain secure against theft or damage and that persons who are not authorized do not enter the compound and /or remove any items.
  • Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
  • Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
  • Apprehend criminals and evict violators
  • Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences
  • Report in detail any suspicious incidents
  • Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter, Inspect lights, locks, doors, windows
  • Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates to ensure unauthorized personnel are not permitted to enter Blumont building or compounds.
  • Perform first aid or CPR
  • Inspect any vehicles parked in compound, only authorized vehicles are parked in and near Blumont facility
  • Review shift book with previous shift
  • Control access by visitors
    • Ask for name, organization and purpose of visit
    • Check identification
    • Verify appointment
    • Clear/do not clear visitor
    • Inspect handbags
    • Register information in Visitors Logbook
    • Escort visitor to Reception
  • Monitor CCTV and physical check on Safety & Security Equipment’s
  • Any other duties and responsibilities as may be reasonably requested by the immediate supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

 

Education:

  • High School degree

 

Experience:

  • 01 year working experience as watchman with the NGOs.

    Skills/Competencies:

  • Has good communication skills
  • Fluency in Arabic.
  • Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
  • Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
  • Surveillance skills and detail orientation
  • Integrity and professionalism
