Blumont is looking to hire a 01 IT /Inventory Assistant  for BHA SAFER II Program funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in Newroz Camp  East Syria.

Job Description:

  • The IT /Inventory Assistant provides assist to management in IT and Telecommunication matters, including full development, maintenance, support, protect data and backup and any other deliverables in line with the aims of the Organization.
  • The IT industry is constantly changing so there is a need to keep up with developments. There is often a pressure to work as fast as possible to deal with problems and achieve immediate results in all situations, either to ensure the minimum loss of products or vender-contact time or to enable members of staff to use their computer again according to the organization’s policies.
  • The role reports to the: IT Officer
  • Team members reporting to this post: N/A

 

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABLITY:

  • keep computer systems running smoothly and ensure users get the maximum benefit from them.
  • Iinstall and configured computer hardware operating systems and applications.
  • monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
  • Ttroubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
  • replace parts as required.
  • provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
  • respond within agreed time limits to call-outs.
  • priorities and manage many open cases at one time.
  • Follow up with IT in the filed for (software license tracking, conduct assessment for development, training them on new services, remote helpdesk).
  • Managing and tracking logs Firewall.
  • Install and troubleshooting of cloud software & issues.

Helping employees with technical issues

ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inventory asset management using BarScan system.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Diploma Certificate / bachelor’s degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science and other related field of IT and administration.
  • Problem solver and attention to details.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 

 

EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:

  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills to prepare and present reports and information and consult and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of employee.
  • Requires less than 1 year of related experience preferred INGO’s.
  • Cloud experience is preferred.
  • Inventory system management.

  • Ability to travel to all the program areas and any other areas in north and north-east of Syria.
