Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (minimum) in WASH, Rural Development, Public health or related fields (desired)
- work experience after college/university in the above-mentioned fields (desired)
- Experience in working for international or local non-governmental organizations (desired)
- Interpersonal, Communication and Coordination Skills:
- Proactive and able to cope with a challenging and constantly-evolving humanitarian work environment, often under pressure
- Ability to establish and manage effective working relationships with colleagues, external partners and community representatives.
Job Description:
Support WASH Officers and Assistants in daily program activities implementations; HK distributions, assessments, monitoring, data collection, water test, Hygiene promotion sessions and following training given by Senior WASH Officer.
– Support other programs in their field activities like distribution.
– Regularly coordinate and inform Senior WASH Officer or Assistants on the progress of the activities
– Liaise with Community leaders, members and Authorities to raise beneficiaries’ listings, according to selection criteria;
– Supervising community visits and NFI distribution on the field, monitoring the implementation of WASH activities, and providing all necessary adjustments on site to allow efficient progress of activity;
– Conducting and supervising direct mobilizations activities within targeted communities, with the support of local mobilisers and WASH assistants
– Perform other duties as assigned. The duties and responsibilities listed are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive
– any other tasks related to CvT activities on the request of Senior WASH Officer or Assistants.
GENERAL POST DESCRIPTION
Člověk v tísni (CVT) is a non-governmental, non-profit making, international organization with headquarters in Prague, Czech Republic. Over the past 25 years, CVT has managed projects in 55 countries, providing relief aid and development assistance, implementing social integration programs, and increasing public awareness on global development issues. CVT currently provides assistance in 15 countries with over 700 staff worldwide.
CVT has been working in Syria since 2012. CVT currently provides multi-sectoral assistance in Idleb, Aleppo and Al-Hasakeh provinces across Food Security and Livelihoods, WASH, Education, and Capacity Building sectors. Since October 2013, CVT has been putting more efforts into strengthening the capacities of local actors to enhance service delivery to Syrian population, voicing the needs of the most vulnerable, as well as ownership and overall sustainability of CVT interventions in the protracted conflict.
