Job Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in IT Engineering or equivalent.

Certificate in Asset Management – preferred

Certificate in CCNA routing and switching – preferred.

EXPERIENCE and SKILLS

Minimum 2 years of experience in the related field.

Highly motivated individual who works well independently.

Fluency in English and Arabic languages.

Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The IT Officer manages computer networks for all business types, providing technical assistance and ensuring the operation runs smoothly. IT Support is in charge of monitoring and maintaining the company’s computer systems, as well as installing, configuring, and resolving any technical issues that may occur. The nature of the position requires it.

The inventory officer’s material management responsibilities include the procurement and distribution of materials, products, items, and other objects. This position is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of staff involved in inventory management to ensure optimal inventory levels and compliance with quality standards. Additionally, he or she is responsible for tracking inventory data and guaranteeing its accuracy.

Staff reporting to this post:

Technical reporting: IT/Inventory Officer in Erbil office

Other reporting: Camp Manager

Due to the nature of the IT department in humanitarian organizations, the IT/Inventory Officer may be required to work outside of normal business hours and be on-call most of the time. Additionally, travel among offices and camps may be necessary for job-related tasks.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABLITY

IT Officer Responsibilities:

Install and configure operating systems and programs on computer hardware, including servers, Windows servers, Microsoft Azure, QNAP (NAS) storage systems, and other Windows and computer systems.

Install, configure, and troubleshoot network systems, network switches, cabling, network Wi-Fi, IP phones, and security cameras. Detect and resolve hardware and software problems.

Manage and track shared drives, backup systems, SharePoint, and OneDrive.

Provide IT support to employees, resolving issues related to printers, scanners, Wi-Fi, and other computer software and hardware. Train employees on newly released software such as Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office programs, Adobe Acrobat DC, etc. Create digital signatures and prepare forms in Adobe Acrobat DC. Organize online meetings and events in Microsoft Teams.

Test and evaluate new technologies.

Replace parts as required.

Assist the HR team in resolving fingerprint device issues.

Provide Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and market availability for relevant IT equipment purchases.

Enter all newly received assets into the database.

Conduct physical checks and semiannual updates of information for all assets recorded in the database.

Generate reports for all locations and projects as per report requirements.

Follow the project close-out procedure.

Configure and track firewalls in all offices and camps.

Inventory Officer Responsibilities:

Manage material procurement and distribution, ensuring timely availability of materials, products, and items.

Supervise and coordinate inventory management activities, including inventory planning, forecasting, and auditing.

Ensure compliance with quality standards and optimal inventory levels.

Track and maintain accurate inventory data.

Generate reports on inventory status and trends.
