Job Requirements:

         University degree in computer sciences, information science, information systems, social science or related field.

EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:

  • Minimum 1 years of NGOs work experience in the same field or another related field and knowledge of humanitarian standards and codes of conduct.
  • Experience in data management, or related area, across large organizations is required.
  • Knowledge of data management/information management and demonstrated ability in managing data across organizations (e.g. MS Office).
  • Proven abilities to work with community and IDPs.
  • Language skills: good knowledge of English and fluency in Arabic language skills are required.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to analyses information.

Job Description:

  • He/ She will provide inputs for the Camp Service Map, which includes information on the location and type of services provided in the camp.
  • He/ She will provide inputs for the Camp Activity Schedule, which includes information on the schedule of activities and events in the camp.
  • He/ She will prepare and analyze the Camp Service Map and Camp Activity Schedule in both English and Arabic language and publish them at the camp for the camp residents.
  • Regular data collection: He/ She will be responsible for collecting data on the needs, gaps, and duplication of services in the camp. This will include disaggregated demographic data of the camp population, the type of services and their locations inside the camp, and a list and contact information of NGOs or service providers.
  • He/ She will be responsible for monitoring services and sites in the camp based on humanitarian standards and creating reports on the status of services.
  • analyze the information gathered at camp level and share it with different partners at camp-level and camp manager.
  • maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all data collected and reports generated.
  • Consolidate data needed for the 4Ws (Who, What, Where, and When) and Indicator Performance Tracking Tables (IPTTs).
  • Ensured that information was available and disseminated to key stakeholders and partners.
  • Prepare, edit, revise and test ODK or KOBO forms for smartphone to be used in the field for electronically data collection.
  • Conducted data collection independently and with support from program staff or daily staff, supervise daily data collection staff, and provide daily feedback on progress and challenges.
  • Coordinated surveys, assessments, and evaluations within the camp to collect data on key information needs, communicating with camp staff to ensure success within deadlines.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating Camp events and activities and maintaining accurate records of them.
  • Collaborate with other Camp staff to ensure the smooth execution of all activities and events.
  • Any other duties reasonably assigned by the line manager.

ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preparing detailed reports and minutes of meetings conducted with UN agencies, humanitarian partners, and cluster groups. This will include organizing and documenting all key discussion points, action items, and decisions made during these meetings.
