JOB DESCRIPTION
EDU/PSS Promoter
The EDU/ Hygiene Promoter will be based in CVT’s office or TLC (Temporary Learning Centre) in Raqqa, Manbij & Deir Ezzor and will be under supervision of and report to the WASH Assistant.
Responsibilities
The main responsibility of the EDU/Hygiene Promoter is responsible for Promote, monitor, survey, and assess the targeted schools & TLCs (Temporary Learning Centres)in the assigned area group levels through daily field and school/TLC visits, and conduct surveys and visit, and Conduct hygiene promotion sessions in the field , schools & TLCs; He/she will be working under direct supervision of the WASH Assistant .Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:.
The main tasks of the EDU/ Hygiene Promoter are as follows:
- Promote, monitor, survey, and assess the targeted schools & TLCs in the assigned area and group level through daily field and school/TLC visits;
- Conduct surveys and visit in order to identify new participants to the Hygiene Promotion sessions, and Conduct hygiene promotion sessions in the field, schools & TLCs;
- Arrange thematic focus group discussions, awareness, and hygiene promotion sessions.
- Conduct hygiene promotion sessions within communities, schools, health centres, households, distribution points;
- Conduct schools/ TLCs visiting to inform and motivate teachers & children to improve their hygiene living conditions.
- Participate in the distribution of Hygiene Kit during Cholera Emergency response via the field team.
- Animate focus group, giving clear message on good anti-Cholera hygiene practice;
- Create & identify the most appropriate message regarding the target population, and working on it;
- Hygiene Promoter will conduct specific sessions to students, teachers, the staff in school and TLC , water vendors or those responsible for trucking, selling, and monitoring water collection on cholera prevention messages, on the importance of safe water handling, and on the purpose of chlorination.
- Manage the Hygiene promotion related logistics, equipment, and material;
- Evaluate the necessary material needed for a training & session/activity;
- Conducting trainings and leading workshops for the teachers and community members about Cholera and the best hygiene
- Participate in the identification of beneficiaries for the WASH activities (Water supply rehabilitation, Water Chlorination, Water testing &distribution of hygiene kits etc.) As requested,
- Promote Hygiene to children to help them acquire safer hygiene behaviours;
- Participate in hygiene campaign, doing shows in schools/TLCs and at community level;
- Act as a link between the organization and the beneficiaries;
- Ensure all work is carried out as per the community needs and project standards;
- Forging relationships with key people in the community, stakeholders and community leaders to ensure proper implementation;
- Regular meetings with supervisor and other team member to communicate new technical topics;
- Develop trust, tolerance and co-operation among community members;
- Provide regular updates from the field to the line Manager & officer;
- Report any incidences related to protection of IDPs, host-communities and other vulnerable groups to the management;
- Report security incidences in the field in a timely manner to the management;
- Perform other relevant tasks as assigned by Project Manager.
- Understand and abide by the principles of the Schools & TLCs and the established codes of conduct, child protection policies, and other relevant guidelines;
- Will adhere to COVID-19 & Cholera preventive measures during and throughout execution of all above mentioned tasks.
Requirements and qualifications for the position:
- Minimum required education – bachelor degree in Education, social sciences, social work or relevant (obligatory);
- Prior experience as hygiene promoter, Chlorination & Water testing (desired);
- Previous experience in Education, delivering trainings & conducting caregiver sessions will be considered as an advantage (desired);
- Previous experience in working with children with special vulnerabilities will be considered as an advantage (desired);
- Excellent organization, coordination, analytical skills; and capacity to prioritize, and communicate effectively.

منشط تعليم وتوعية صحية
سيكون مقر عمل منشط التعليم والتوعية الصحية في أحد مكاتب سي في تي أو أحد المراكز التعليمية التابعة لها (مراكز التعلم المؤقت) في الرقة ومنبج ودير الزور وسيكون تحت إشراف مساعد قسم المياه والنظافة الصحي وتقديم تقارير دورية لمساعد المياه والنظافة الصحية.
المسؤوليات:
منشط التعليم والتوعية الصحية هو المسؤول عن تعزيز ومراقبة اليومية واستطلاع وتقييم المدارس المستهدفة ومراكز التعلم المؤقتة في مستويات مجموعة المنطقة المستهدفة من خلال الزيارات الميدانية للمدارس ومراكز التعليم المؤقتة، وإجراء المسوحات والزيارة، وإجراء جلسات تعزيز النظافة في الميدان، والمدارس ومراكز الرعاية الصحية؛ سيعمل / تعمل تحت الإشراف المباشر لمساعد المياه والنظافة الصحية ومسؤول التعليم والدعم النفسي. تشمل المهام المحددة لمنشط التعليم والتوعية الصحية، على سبيل المثال لا الحصر، ما يلي:
المهام الرئيسية:
-تعزيز ومراقبة واستطلاع وتقييم المدارس المستهدفة ومراكز التعليم المؤقتة في المنطقة المحددة من خلال الزيارات الميدانية اليومية للمدارس ومراكز التعليم المؤقتة.
_إجراء استطلاعات وزيارة من أجل تحديد المشاركين الجدد في جلسات تعزيز النظافة، وإجراء جلسات تعزيز النظافة في الميدان، والمدارس ومراكز الرعاية الصحية؛
-ترتيب مناقشات مجموعات التركيز الموضوعية، والتوعية، وجلسات تعزيز النظافة.
-عقد جلسات تعزيز النظافة داخل المجتمعات والمدارس والمراكز الصحية والتعليمية والأسر ونقاط التوزيع.
-إجراء زيارات للمدارس ومراكز التعليم المؤقتة لإعلام وتحفيز المعلمين والأطفال على تحسين ظروف عيشهم الصحية.
-المشاركة في توزيع أدوات وحصص النظافة أثناء الاستجابة لحالات الطوارئ الخاصة بالكوليرا.
-تحريك وتيسير جلسات مجموعات التركيز، وإعطاء رسالة واضحة حول الممارسات الصحية الجيدة لمكافحة الكوليرا؛
-إنشاء وتحديد الرسائل الأكثر ملاءمة فيما يتعلق بالسكان المستهدفين والعمل عليها.
-سيعقد مروج النظافة جلسات محددة للطلاب والمعلمين والموظفين في المدارس ومراكز التعليم المؤقتة أو بائعي المياه أو المسؤولين عن نقل المياه بالشاحنات وبيعها ومراقبتها المراكز التعليمية المؤقتة بشأن رسائل الوقاية من الكوليرا، حول أهمية معالجة المياه الآمنة، والغرض منها من الكلور.
-إدارة اللوجستيات والمعدات والمواد المتعلقة بتعزيز النظافة؛
-تقييم المواد اللازمة للتدريب والجلسة / النشاط.
-إجراء التدريبات وورش العمل الرائدة للمعلمين وأفراد المجتمع حول الكوليرا وأفضل ممارسات النظافة.
-المشاركة في تحديد المستفيدين من أنشطة المياه والصرف الصحي والنظافة الصحية (إعادة تأهيل إمدادات المياه، وكلورة المياه، واختبار المياه وتوزيع مجموعات النظافة وما إلى ذلك) حسب الطلب،
-تعزيز النظافة للأطفال لمساعدتهم على اكتساب سلوكيات صحية أكثر أمانًا.
. -المشاركة في حملة النظافة، والقيام بالعروض في المدارس ومراكز التعليم المؤقتة وعلى مستوى المجتمع
. -العمل كحلقة وصل بين المنظمة والمستفيدين
-ضمان تنفيذ جميع الأعمال وفقا لاحتياجات المجتمع ومعايير المشروع.
-إقامة علاقات مع الأشخاص الرئيسيين في المجتمع وأصحاب المصلحة وقادة المجتمع لضمان التنفيذ السليم.
-اجتماعات منتظمة مع المشرف وأعضاء الفريق الآخرين للتواصل مع الموضوعات التقنية الجديدة.
-تنمية الثقة والتسامح والتعاون بين أفراد المجتمع.
-توفير تحديثات منتظمة من الميدان للمدير المباشر والمشرفين المباشرين.
-إبلاغ الإدارة بأي حوادث تتعلق بحماية النازحين والمجتمعات المضيفة والفئات الضعيفة الأخرى.
-إبلاغ الإدارة بالحوادث الأمنية في الميدان في الوقت المناسب.
-أداء المهام الأخرى ذات الصلة التي يكلفه بها مدير المشروع.
-فهم والالتزام بمبادئ المدارس ومراكز التعليم المؤقتة وقواعد السلوك المعمول بها وسياسات حماية الطفل والمبادئ التوجيهية الأخرى ذات الصلة.
-الالتزام بالتدابير الوقائية لـكوفيد 19 ومرض الكوليرا أثناء تنفيذ جميع المهام المذكورة أعلاه وطوالها.
متطلبات ومؤهلات الوظيفة:
_الحد الأدنى من التعليم المطلوب – درجة البكالوريوس في التربية أو العلوم الاجتماعية أو العمل الاجتماعي أو الفروع ذو الصلة (إلزامي)
_خبرة سابقة كمروج للنظافة الصحية او التعليم، وخبرة في اختبار الكلور وتنقية الماء (مرغوب فيه)
_سيتم اعتبار الخبرة السابقة في مجال التعليم وتقديم التدريبات وإجراء دورات الرعاية كميزة (مرغوب فيها)
_تعتبر الخبرة السابقة في العمل مع الأطفال الذين يعانون من أية إعاقات ميزة (مرغوبة)
_مهارات ممتازة في التنظيم والتنسيق والتحليل. والقدرة على تحديد الأولويات والتواصل بشكل فعال.
