Generic professional competencies:

  • Excellent social and communication skills
  • Good organizational capacity and attention to detail
  • Experience from working in LFS Project in a humanitarian/recovery context
  • Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
  • Good working Knowledge of English

Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience:

  • University degree in economics, sociology, or related field
  • 2-year experience implementation and supervision of livelihood and food security programmes specially of Cash based interventions including CFW, Small Business Grants, Rehabilitation/maintenance of (work)infrastructure
  • Experience of team management
  • Experience in report writing
  • Prior knowledge of the context of IDP camps/sites in NES
  • Ability to administer complex activities
  • Instinct for problem solving and resolving conflicts
  • Good knowledge of the local languages (Kurdish and Arabic)

Job Description:

Specific responsibilities

  • Assist LFS Team Leader throughout all phases of the project cycle
  • Implement programme activities in coordination with beneficiaries, camp administration, camp management, partners, and local authorities
  • Supervise and Conduct needs, market assessments, and price monitoring when required
  • Ensure timely procurement and distribution of materials and equipment in collaboration with logistics, fleet and procurement team
  • Support training of ORG staff on LFS programming
  • Contribute to the identification of new activities, areas of intervention, and partnership options
  • Collaborate with all other ORG CCs to support integrated and comprehensive response packages
  • Attend meetings with ORG counterparts, prepare notes and follow-up on actions needed for project implementation and monitoring
