Job Title: FSL Project Officer-Agriculture

Job Requirements:
- Has a bachelor’s degree in agriculture engineering, master and PHD are advantages.
- Minimum three years of total experience.
- At least 1-year work experience with an INGO in an emergency and/or development setting.
- At least two years of work experience in agriculture sector program.
- Intermediate English (written and spoken); and fluent in Arabic.
- Ability to work under pressure in a high-pace environment.
- Ability to manage complaints.
- Willingness to follow instructions, especially those related to security
- Excellent social and communication skills.
- High commitment to cultural sensitivity, honesty, integrity, Trustworthiness and accountability.
- Organized, methodical, and thorough work ethic.
- Punctuality.
- Dedication and proven interest in displacement issues, field work and humanitarian programming.

Job Description:
Administrative Responsibilities
– Transparently report to the Senior Officer/PM any issues or challenges and suggestions for potential improvements (including but not limited to nutrition).
– Ensure that AME department is always updated and informed of all project activities including timely sharing of any beneficiary databases and prompt addressing of complaints raised through CRM.
– Create soft and hard copy tools.
– Create training guidelines, templates, and other materials.
– Create BoQs, Order forms and technical evaluations and follow the procurement process.
– Create detailed plans of field activities in coordination with the team leader, submit to PM and train field staff when required.
– Create detailed reports of field activities in coordination with the team leader and submit to PM.
– Supporting the senior officer & team leader with other administrative tasks relating to logistics, finance, HR, transport, or security.
Technical Responsibilities
– Train assistants to provide high quality training to beneficiaries in the field.
– Provide inputs into all work in the department (tool development, plans, reporting, training materials etc.).
– Supporting the team leader in monitoring of assistants work in the field.
– Providing team leader with guidance on how to monitor activities in the field.
– Organizing, running & actively participating in field activities in coordination with team leader in particular in relation to assessments, beneficiary selection & distributions.
Team Management
– Overseeing all work produced by administrative assistants and/or field assistants when supervising field activities, reviewing and editing work before finalization.
– Provide capacity building to administrative assistants to ensure professional development of the staff e.g., data cleaning, tool development etc.
– Providing feedback to team leader & senior officer regarding assistants’ performance.
Information Management
– Database management including cleaning, analysis, storing with correspondence to data protection policy and ACTED database management memo.
– Ensuring that beneficiary database is updated, and latest versions stored clearly but securely.
– Verifying accuracy and validity of documentation according to donor standards and flagging any issues to senior officer/PM if found.
– Ensuring all hard-copy documentation is archived in a clear filing system with soft copies stored on the sever.
– Ensuring all tools, raw data, reports, documents (order forms, BoQs, technical checks etc.) are promptly and clearly as soft copy versions on the server and hard copies filed clearly.
Security
– Any security concerns or breach of guidelines needs to be immediately communicated to the PM.
– Officer will anticipate potential risks and share any concerns with the PM.
– Ensure confidentiality of the information sharing. Details of upcoming field activities should be limited as much as possible, to essential staff only.
– Ensure data protection and confidentiality of beneficiary lists and information.
– Ensure that security approval is granted and required equipment (GPS, Thuraya), is present before field teams go to the field.
