QUALIFICATIONS:
– Intermediate school certificate as minimum
EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
– Proven work experience at least one year as watchmen or relevant position
– Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
– Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
– Surveillance skills and detail orientation
– Integrity and professionalism
– Strong physique
– Ability to read and write in Arabic and Kurdish.
الوصف الوظيفي:
Monitoring the site and conducting continuous inspection tours around the guard point. Maintaining the cleanliness of the site and arranging regular visits. Helping team members to evacuate from the site in the event of any emergency such as (fire – security event). Having experience in using fire extinguisher to help put out fires if they occur. Covering for other watchmen when and as needed to perform the watchman duty.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABLITY
– Secure main gate access for office/camps and make sure write name of visitors in log visitors with full details.
– Check location after team members get out of office/ camps and make sure all equipment/electric is off.
– Protect organization’s property and team members by maintaining a safe and secure environment
– If no Blumont personnel are present, to ensure that the Camp/office and compound remain secure against theft or damage and that persons who are not authorized do not enter the compound and /or remove any items.
– Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
– Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
– Apprehend criminals and evict violators
– Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences
– Report in detail any suspicious incidents
– Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter, Inspect lights, locks, doors, windows
– Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates to ensure unauthorized personnel are not permitted to enter Blumont building or compounds.
– Inspect any vehicles parked in compound, only authorized vehicles are parked in and near Blumont facility
– Review shift book with previous shift
ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
– Regular check inspection (oil – water) for electrical generators.
– Control access by visitors:
- Ask for name, organization, and purpose of visit
- Check identification
- Verify appointment
- Clear/do not clear visitor
- Inspect handbags
- Register information in Visitors Logbook
- Escort visitor to Reception
