Job Requirements:

Education:

  • B.Sc. degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Education, or other relevant sections and or University degree or diploma (preferably in Arts and Design) or related fields from a recognized institution

Experience:

  • 2 years of working experience in NGOs.
  • Strong theoretical and practical background in graphic design, including the use of design software such as Adobe Design Premium, In-Design, CorelDraw, web design tools such as Dreamweaver and Flash, etc.
  • Knowledge of standard software packages, including MS Office– MS Access–MS Visio –Adobe Acrobat.

           Skills/Competencies:

  • Good Knowledge of the English language, and fluency in Arabic.
  • Familiarity with graphic design is an asset.
  • Have high standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional helping relationships.
  • Ability to relate and communicate with diverse populations and groups.
  • Resilience along with the ability to assess situations.
  • Willing to submit background checks.

Job Description:

  • Ensures the preparation of visual tools (for the communities/children) such as pamphlets, posters, banners, cartoons, and animations, for awareness-raising projects through strong coordination with Gender and protection technical specialist.
  • Layout and design information and communication materials (banners, posters, booklets, leaflets, books, calendars, bulletins, flyers, cards.
  • Works closely with social workers and protection officers for gathering information lacking required at the community level and coordinates with them to collect feedback from the area of Operation to monitor whether information has effectively been conveyed and utilized.
  • Create animations for illustrative purposes such as animations, presentations, and more advanced solutions (design of CD/DVD packaging, graphic digitalization).
  • Deliver creative and innovative ideas for print, electronic, web-based, and animated presentations.
  • Liaise closely with gender and protection specialists and communications officers on the final layout.
  • Plan, coordinate, manage and implement support packages to help camp residents deal with difficulties and overcome dependencies.
  • Deliver capacity-building activities on PSS, and Psychosocial first aid to project staff, Case identification, and referring mechanisms.
  • Provide age-appropriate activities and psychosocial support to all cases identified and referred by the project team ensuring strict adherence to the core GBV guiding principles (safety and security, confidentiality, respect).
  • Maintain constant communication with residents while addressing their concerns and goals and helping them keep positive attitudes.
  • Complete monthly activity reports and develop and maintain work plans to achieve activities.
  • Ensure equity in protection (gender, child protection, disability) by focusing on the Most Vulnerable.
  • participating in multidisciplinary teams and meetings regarding, for example, child protection or mental health.
  • Act as a key worker and cooperate with multidisciplinary teams.
