  • At least one year of relevant experience in the area of data and information management
  • Previous experience working in monitoring and evaluation, protection programming and case management is an asset
  • Previous experience working in INGOs is an asset

Job Description:

  • Be the main focal point for data management among the Protection program and work closely with the MEAL team;
  • Participate in the program activities databases;
  • In coordination with the PPO and Case Workers ensure timely and quality data entry of case management information in Case Management database.
  • Ensure understanding of the program on the GBVIM and Protection IM systems and data protection protocols.
  • Ensure data is collected correctly and in a timely manner;
  • In coordination with the MEAL team, coach the program team on data collection and tools;
  • Participate in the monitoring of data collection and raise to the PPOs and PPC any issue;
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Source of Verification system for the Protection program;
  • Enter monitoring data into computer-based data collection system according to schedule;
  • Work in collaboration with the MEAL team and the Protection team to provide timely reports and data summaries;
  • Conduct field visits when required to record finding from field;
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Ensure data is cleaned, organized and stored in an orderly manner
  • Work with the Protection manager and Protection Coordinator to develop new analytical tools
  • Analyze and provide information for periodic reports, progress review and donor reports
  • Participate in protection need assessment, review need assessment tools and monitor data collection process
  • Share knowledge on emerging data collection practices, online data collection data collection and analytical tools with other team members
  • Work closely with protection partners for timely data gathering and submission
  • Identify problems associated with data collection, comprehensiveness and data quality and propose solutions to overcome
  • Provide feedback, organize trainings for partner staff engaged in data collection
  • Liaise with MEAL team to develop partner capacity in monitoring, data collection, learning and accountability related issues
  • Ensure understanding of and compliance to PSEA and Child Safeguarding policies and reporting mechanisms.
  • Ensure affected populations are fully aware about PSEA and CS policies and know how to report in a safe and confidential way.
  • Support PSEA survivors with life-saving assistance and further reporting.

JOB SUMMARY

The Programme Assistant, Data Management (PA-DM) will be a part of Protection program for North-East Syria, ensuring timely and accurate data is available for presentations, reporting and decision-making. The PA-DM will get field information from the program team and partners and oversee data collection process; ensuring compliance with data protection policy and case management IM system. S/he will be charge of data organization and archiving for further verification of project deliverables. The PA-DM will analyze data and generate information for various reports, participate in protection need assessment and analyze date. S/he will partner organizations data collection focal points in ensuring timely and quality data is collected and reported to orgnization.

Contract period:  till 30th Nov 2022 (with possibility to extend)
