Job Requirements:
- Excellent written translation skills from Arabic and Kurdish to English
- Excellent observation skills non-judgmental and unbiased way.
- Adequate knowledge of the topic
- Can remain impartial (i.e., do not give her/his opinions about topics, because this can influence what people say)
- Ability to respect the dignity and confidentiality of respondents.
Job Description:
The Opportunity:
The Translator’ role for the research is to translate research data collected via KIIs and FGDs into English. The translator will work closely with the note takers and ensure transcribed data accurately translated from Arabic& Kurdish to English. The translator will not need to travel to the data collection site but work from provided location.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Acurately translates KII and FGDs transcription and provide electronic copy
- Types the English translation and files them using the provided filing system
- Attends daily Debriefing meetings with the data collectors
